Activity partner means hanging out with someone who shares the same interests/hobbies as yourself. Intimate encounters means meeting someone to have sex with.

Activity partner shares an interest like hiking, playing tennis, or horseback riding.

It should mean a shared interest in a sport/hobby or similar but too often a lot of men consider it to be sex, If you like Golf,hiking hang gliding etc it is so easy to say so and narrow the focus ,with thousands of "activities" available eventually you will have to state what you like,

Example Jack and Jill start messaging ,both have listed activity partners wanted ,they are getting on great two months in they arrange a meet Jack suggest a day Deep sea fishing his passion for 40 years , Jill says she gets sea sick at the sight of water

I can dig this answer.

But for me its bass fishing on warm summer nights, trolling for stripe,white and hybrid bass, and trout fishing, kayaking in a cold stream in the heat of the summer.

Things I like doing with an activity partner... camping, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, visiting small downtown areas, sightseeing, exploring new places, going to the movies/dinner... basically anything you'd do with a friend. To me, an activity partner is a platonic companion, someone you enjoy spending time with and doing things together.

A few of these are not doable anymore for me..

Then we'll just have to do the doable things then!

I always thought that one must first decide if they are friends first and then see what feels comfortable and explore possibilities from there...lose expectation and go with the flow...after all,we are all grownups aren't we?
