Cosmos - 2019
Aliens have intercepted a message we've sent into space and reply to it as they're closing in on our planet.
Their signal is picked up by an amateur astronomer and his 2 mates.

Good movie, and oddly ties in with the topic I posted a few weeks back: sending messages into space yea or nay?

Beginning is slow, I skipped ahead to where the 3rd guy has appeared. It gets really good!
I still think it's utterly stupid to send messages into space.

Beast (good movie), Moonfall (decent movie), Halloween Ends (Was disappointed, took Michael Myers an hour to show up in movie and he didn't seem to have the strength and omph he usually had in all his other movies)

I tried Blonde, the new movie on Marilyn Monroe but I gave up on it. Long movie that likely would've benefitted had it been more condensed.

"Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" (2017)
Starring Frances McDormand & Sam Rockwell. I really enjoyed it.

Flight World War II - 2015 - 4,3 IMDB rating

Not a masterpiece but I found it really watchable and unusual.
You got to be able to put up with rather cheap camera work, like the camera moving to make it appear there's heavy turbulence, and from what I can tell the so called passengers moving back and forth in sync etc. instead of this happening by real turbulence.
Nevertheless I liked the movie.

Flight 42 was on its way, when it comes across a weird electromagnetic storm. Realizing they must go through, they find themselves in France, 1940, [[World War II]]. A history professor tells them they are in the middle of a war zone. Dodging bullets and bombs the flight will attempt to make it back to modern day, without changing history too much.

Flight 93

Watched this. Think I'd watched it before. Such a sad story...
And good many at least got to call their families while in that crazy situation.
Thinking about what that must be like, getting a phone call from your husband or child to say they're in danger as their plane is highjacked and they likely won't make it...

Absolutely a deep movie.

Where the Crawdads Sing - 2022 - 7,1 IMDB
Impressive movie, wow!
Definitely worth the watch.

Abandoned by her family, Kya raises herself all alone in the marshes outside of her small town. When her former boyfriend is found dead, Kya is instantly branded by the local townspeople and law enforcement as the prime suspect for his murder.

I gave Black Adam a try, even though it's one of them superpower comic books movies which I don't like.
But I thought I'd give it a try, Dwayne Johnson often is good.
I switched it off after some 15 minutes, could've been 10. Crap movie. The way he's floating through the air, so badly done.

Where did you see it Crystal? A theater or some link? I want to see it only for the end credits to see Henry Cavill come back as Superman.

A link. A CAM version still but not too bad at all. Mostly the sound that gives it away.

I like to watch some older movies, once in a while. Last night watched, "Carmen Jones" from the 1950's. That's a Dorothy Dandridge movie. I like it.
