Oil will never run out! Earth is full of it and mostly it's not from decayed plants and algae.
Some Japanese scientist speculates though that global warming have to do with the actual tapping and not the burning of fossil fuels. I don't know about that?
Anyway if the myth about oil depletion would definitely be proved wrong. No more wars fought about energy. Just drill deep enough and you will find it even in Manhattan or Washington. It's the thickness of the continental shelf that makes it hard in some places and easier in others.
You're probably right. The key word you mentioned, is easy to drill for.

The Keystone was being built to pump tar sand to Louisiana. Curious part about that, is that it's mined, not drilled. They are mined in Alberta, Canada. It comes out as a sticky bitumen, that diluted with lighter oil, or natural gas, so it can be pumped through the Keystone. That particular oil, happens to be dirtier. It has more sulphur in it, about 31% more. That oil was destined to be exported out of our country.

Now to me,I don't see what the reasoning is for dealing with it. It must be cost effective to handle it. I know Russia has oil. But to extract it, it must be heated with live steam. That also is considered dirty oil, so it must have about the same sulphur content. Another point- Russia was NOT able to deal with their oil without western help. We figured out how to help the Russians get their oil.

And putin didn't even have the manners to send us a thank you note.

You are not entirely right about the Russian oil. Oil was discovered in Azerbaijan long time ago, before US deposits were found.
It was not hard to find since there were lakes on the surface of it.
Swedish venture capitalists built up Baku and invested a lot of money there.
All was lost when the Bolsheviks took over.
They being primarily uneducated people, did not have the knowledge to process the crude stuff.
They did so of course later, to master the skills and used them to fuel the mighty red army in WW2.

Endgame!

“Ukraine will never be a victory for Putin,” Biden said as he announced a U.S. ban on Russian energy imports on Tuesday.

long after the trade markets had already stopped trading in russian oil leaving it un touched and un sold.
I guess since biden had no choice, he finally decided to make the existing ban the market place, placed on it "OFFICIAL".

Biden did something that basically did nothing.

I see that as progress for him and his administration.

Usually when Biden does something it hurts the average American.

Poland's leadership is in good position to mediate and resolve issues. Instead they attempted to escalate the war.

On Tuesday, Poland's foreign ministry offered to send all of its Russian-made MiG-29 fighter jets to the US Air Force's Ramstein Air Base in Germany, so they could be sent on to Ukraine's forces.

"The Polish Government also requests other NATO Allies — owners of MIG-29 jets — to act in the same vein," it said.

Bulgaria, Poland, and Slovakia had agreed to give the country more than 70 MiG-29s and Su-25s.

Funny, Russian MIG 29 being used against Russians.

"There is bipartisan support for providing Ukraine with fighter jets of neighboring countries that they would know how to fly and engage in," Menendez, chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, said Thursday.

"Send these MiGs," Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, on Thursday.

So that's the bi-partisan view in Congress.
Ukrainians pilots to fly the MIG 29s
flown over by Polish pilots and
parked at a NATO base.

U.S. European Command Commander Gen. Tod. D. Wolters: "The transfer of MiG-29 aircraft will not appreciably increase the effectiveness of the Ukrainian Air Force… Therefore, we assess that the overall gain is low."

Wolters added. "Lastly, the intelligence community assesses the transfer of MiG-29s to Ukraine may be mistaken as escalatory and could result in Russian escalation with NATO...producing a high risk scenario."

The Pentagon rejected the offer, saying it "raises serious concerns" for NATO.

Biden has referred Congress to the Pentagon assessment.

It was an attempt to start WW3 by US administration and have Poland as an escape goat! It blew up in their face when the Polacks was not as stupid as the usually are in American jokes!

The transfer of MG-29's, or any other military aid to Ukraine, from any country worldwide including NATO should be done covertly, NOT overtly.

If China gives military aid (or if it already has) of any kind to Russia it won't be done publicly or openly.

When NATO countries, especially the US, announces ANY action they will take they are giving Putin a strategic advantage.

Telegraphing what REACTIONS will be taken if an authoritarian takes military actions gives the advantage to the aggressor. Aggressors like criminals don't follow laws, don't care about laws, negotiating with them is an exercise in futility. They are ONLY stopped by force, not "diplomacy".

Was the US trying to have Poland as a scapegoat (it's not escape goat) or was Poland trying to use the US as a scapegoat? It really doesn't matter if either was attempting to scapegoat the other.....the transfer of MG-29's should have NEVER been made public. Putin is the ONLY interested party that benefited from the transfer NOT happening.

my understanding from what I heard. poland offered their migs in hopes of getting US fighters for their air force in return.

it's like the old NATO lend lease programs. to offer aid to defend. just standard operating procedure.
I still think the whole invasion all a political shell game of miss direction. and it's not the first one that cost innocent peoples lives. to further the goals of people in power.

Russia has sanctioned the Bidens and other west politicians. They are no longer allowed to enter Russia!
The only one who cares is Hunter Biden, if Ukraine in the future will be included in this sanction. I hope they will loose a lot of money with that.

it is not just hunter, it is his uncle john, big daddy joe, with ties to Obama and hillery as well.
this could turn into a major political melt down.
if all the records are revealed. including whats on hunters confiscated laptop now in the FBI's hands for over a year, un opened..
loosing money would be the least of their problems.

The best solution to end this conflict is to sanction also Ukraine and it's leaders. Visa and Mastercard should stop working as well in Ukraine and those cards should not work outside Ukraine as well.
That would put pressure on the Ukrainian leaders from their own people to. Now everything is one sided.

If this was done peace would be within a week.
But unfortunately western powers has another agenda.

China has been also. I really can't fault them for doing so, aside from infusing money into putins war machine. It's pretty hard to turn down a significant discount like that.

Next on line, Sanction on China?

China’s muted response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has hardened views within the Biden administration that President Xi Jinping may be moving closer to supporting Moscow as the conflict continues, according to several people familiar with the matter.

Even as the Chinese government publicly voices some support for the Ukrainian people and calls for a peaceful solution, top American officials see signs that China is seeking ways to soften the blow of sanctions imposed on Russia by the U.S. and its allies, according to the people, who say they have knowledge of deliberations in Beijing.

Heavy Russian losses?

Just propaganda.
One of thousands spread by the Ukrainian side.
They us a lot of old footage and videos from the Tjetchenian conflict and Donbass.
Pay attention to treas, cars, signs etc.
The license plates in Russia ends with a number prefix wich indicates region of country.
They even faked a Ukrainian pilots funeral. Easy spotted by bad acting and wrong type of cross. Orthodox use special type of cross.
Buildings burned are by missiles shot down by anti aircraft missiles. They don't explode in the air when hit, like in Hollywood, but crash in the wrong place and incinerates anything near by.
Ukrainians are shelling and killing people in DNR.
Mariupol is Azov legions headquarter and they have refused people with Russian names to leave and then claims later they have been kidnapped by Russia.
A lot of BS is flying around.
There are plenty of live 24/7 cameras in Ukraine broadcasting. Just google.
Sit and watch, not much is happening.
