Does anyone know of a video editing software that 'acts' like Adobe Bridge 2022?

What I mean is, a package that can break down the video into individual pictures, so that I can quickly page down and find the right locations to carry out the 'cuts' in the video.

I want to quickly cut the adverts from programs recorded over the Television, so that I can upload them onto my Plex Server without adverts.

The nearest I have found so far is VideoRedo. Others I have already tried are Nero, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier CC, etc.

Funny you mention that, (VSDC), I recently bought a paid version of that software (wasn't much, pretty cheap), but haven't tried it yet.

Will give it a go this week. Thanks for reminding me of that software.

Wow! Thank You. What a list! I already have Davinci, Adobe, VSDC, Final Cut and Kdenlive so far.

That should keep me well busy trying them out to find the one that can allow me to quickly scan through the timeline.

I have ordered a special mouse that will allow me to scroll through the timeline quickly. I nearly ordered the Davinci Resolve Keyboard but was not able to justify the price for what I want to do.

Thanks for list, much appreciated.

Hope this helps.

GIMP is totally free because it was developed for Linux under the Open Licence, but there is also a Windows version, also free. I don't know about the Mac. But does it do video? Mine is only ('only'!) a picture editor but like anything that is really good it is sometimes a little difficult to find out how to make it do what you want. Maybe have to get through several menus to do something that looks simple! If you have the time to play, it's great.

I used to use MoviePlus X3 from Serif. Many features needed to be 'unlocked' before they could be used. This was just a matter of clicking on a link which was fine until they stopped supporting that program. I used it under XP but it was very easy to use but sadly it won't load under Windows 10 (typical Microsoft grrr) and the unlocking URL no longer works.

A long shot, but is there anyone who still uses this under Windows 10 and has access to the features that used to need unlocking? Maybe a 'crack' will do it? I have a number of project files I would like to be able to re-open!
