Came across this and found it interesting. How to Identify an Internet Troll They use anonymous or throwaway accounts. Their account might be new. They leave hateful or negative comments. They make outrageous or questionable claims. They won't let a topic go. They constantly post. They use bad spelling or grammar. Hmmm…….. Wondering .. (and this is not addressed to you Di) …what is more harmful .. trolling or a clicky lynch mob that seeks to isolate another member ?? No one can know what someone else is dealing with or how they cope . If anyone has an issue with a post the correct action is to report and leave it for Keith to review . |

Hmmm……..  we're all trolls I can put at least one of those to everyone( I got 4 ) Except delightful  but she had the list and knows what to not do i can only relate to point 4 ... and thats just because of you

seriously , i think what is more harmful is not calling a spade a spade.... and I see no indications of trying to isolate anyone . Its just trying to make members aware that certain behaviour is not acceptable ... its all !!
we cannot force a behavioural change , especially if the offenders are not open to change or at worst dont comprehend! and yes New members are to be welcome, not promoted to cartoons , monkeys or clowns right of the bat !!! |

seriously , i think what is more harmful is not calling a spade a spade.... and I see no indications of trying to isolate anyone . Its just trying to make members aware that certain behaviour is not acceptable ... its all !! we cannot force a behavioural change , especially if the offenders are not open to change or at worst dont comprehend! and yes New members are to be welcome, not promoted to cartoons , monkeys or clowns right of the bat !!! . You do realise members have no claim to ownership over the forums or how they operate . You are confused if you think you or anyone else is entitled to call people out on their behaviour or try to effect change . You are entitled to report . You are entitled to bypass and ignore any posts which offend you . You are entitled to post within the forum rules . Hope that clarifies the situation .
