Dear Mr President and all those in the Senate and House:
The cost of everything has gone up but it seems it hasn’t affected you. If you don’t act soon you’re going to find more people and even families homeless or unable to afford anything to eat. You were elected to do a job by the American people but you are failing us overall. Your next session you should focus on helping us and nothing more. Sure you can raise on what you give us every month but it only goes so far and that isn’t enough. Get your lazy butts to work and act now!

Also those Americans who have a regular job we go to 5 days a week wether it be part or full time to try to support ourselves and pay taxes at the same time while you on the other hand vote to give yourself a raise and believe me when I say you are not worth it. Where’s our raise in pay? Vote to raise the minimum wage and stop voting on raising the retirement age. Vote to raise social security too. And now I hear to expect a less tax refund. Don’t touch that either cause we’re worth it. Vote to tax the rich since they sit around and do nothing unlike us who do.

That’s ironic coming from a citizen of the Abbott led mess that is Texas. Your Senator runs and hides in Mexico while your fellow Texans were freezing. The Republican Senate under McConnell is the party of just say No since January of 2009. It’s hard to get anything passed in Congress when one party is bent on pure obstruction. Watch what unfolds in the next year with the Republican majority in the House. If their first 3 days is any indication there won’t be many substantive bills being passed. No focus on the needs of the citizens of the country. Just vengeful and partisan investigations and committee appointments. There’s the disgrace of Santos from NY3 that McCarthy won’t address straight on. The Republicans claim they were elected to put America first. So far it’s just how do they keep themselves in power. STOP voting for Republicans. They’re incapable of actual governing.

Lol, that’s hysterical. After 4 years of investigations based on lies , all the sudden the dems are interested in actuall governing. Laughable at best. The investigations need to be done in order to hold these corrupt democrats , from Joe to Hunter , and a whole batch of idiotic policies he has put in place. Joe blew up the economy and his liberal deciples have blew up the criminal justice system. The democrats ignore the souther border and the greatest invasion ever committed against this country. Millions of illegal immigrants roaming around the country with no way to know where they are or what their up to…..Joe Biden and the democrats win in 2020 was one of the worst outcomes for America in present history. Now he will be a lame duck for the rest of his term, that is good for America because we can’t take much more of his idea of “ unifying the country “.

I remember many years ago when my Aunt used to collect used denim jeans (still good shape) to send to some European countries because it was highly desired. It was a donation. It seemed like there are quite a few that think Americans are wealthy. I don't know where that comes from.

The word "Entitlement" comes to mind. The poor think they are entitled to live like the middle class. The politicians think they are entitled to spend whatever they want and take kick backs from special interests. The middle class thinks just because they show up for a job they are entitled to a paycheck. The rich think they are entitled to take advantage of others and form monopolies. For the most part Americans are lazy and/or stupid, yet they think everything should be handed to them. Sometimes the key is to work harder, sometimes the key is to work smarter, sometimes the key is if you can't beat them then join them. Some foreigners come here and build businesses by putting in many hours just to make enough to survive and build toward the future. Many live in crowded houses with many people, they are willing to sacrifice. When you have two "middle class" people living in a 4000sq ft house that is considered "rich" to most of the world and some of the people of America. Most Americans don't realize how good they have it, or how good they could have it. For the most part our food is artificially low, tell me how you can buy a pineapple for $2 or bananas for $.50 a lb? Or hamburger for $5.00 a lb? You really don't want to know what goes on behind the scenes to make this happen, but it's what we have become accustomed to. Fuel and energy prices are also way lower then they could be. The thing we spend the most on is shelter, housing is relatively expensive. Healthcare is also outrageous, mostly because we have been brainwashed into hypochondriacs and over value human life. Drug companies, insurance companies, Dr.s, and hospitals all have taken advantage of the people and the government encourages it to continue. Regulations to protect the people can often hurt the rights of people too. As long as you have a roof over your head and food on your table you should be grateful, if not maybe you are the one who needs to make changes whether in your personal life, or changing the way things are run around you.

I guess I should be great full to live with my parents but I do pay them rent and I work hard to earn my paycheck. I do agree what you’re saying for the most part.

People are afraid of inflation, but is actually a good thing. We have just been spoiled for too long and the current inflation rate is going up too fast for people to adjust for. When I went to school the government spent about $50k to put me thru K-12, now it's about $180k to put a child thru K-12. To put that in perspective if that child works for 50yrs they would have to pay $3600 a year in taxes just to pay for their school, that doesn't account for paying for any other things the government takes care of. Add to that the child tax credit of $3000 til that child is 17, that adds another $50k they owe, or $1000 a year during their working life. So along with that $4600 a year in taxes they also need to put money into social security for their retirement, plus pay the taxes for all the other things the government does, and then we should probably be thinking about paying down the national debt. Oh, and then they want everyone to pay for health insurance, so without inflation basically our entire paycheck and then some would have to go to pay off our taxes (debt). And if we account for those whom can not earn a living and pay taxes then that adds to it too. So when the government is spending trillions of dollars like it's nothing the only hope we have is that inflation will raise fast enough, and big enough to keep up pace. There was a lot of debt associated with World War 2, but we were able to pay that off for the most part. There is always going to be good times and bad times in any economy, but people have short memories and the hard times tend to stick out more then the good times, but so far we have made it this far thru the highs and lows. However when people get lazy and entitled it could all come crashing down.

I agree, we're going broke.
From my humble observation,
I believe the root cause
to be our own government,
pilfering our earned finances
via a smoke and mirrors taxation
program.

And, we, the voters, not only
tolerate it. But, we keep
reelecting these thieving idiots.

And that’s why we should stop voting for them all together.
