Might I suggest not posting personal information in topics on dating sites OR on your profile.. just to keep both of you safe! (ie-names, ages etc)

You could maybe tell potential dates up front that you are a single mom looking for (as you said) someone to hang out with and do fun things with. I assume you'd do that when your child is not with you?

As a single mom of 2, I used to arrange "dates" when my kids were at their dad's for the weekend.. I didn't bother mentioning "kids" to the "date" unless things ramped up and became more than simply hanging out/activity times..However I feel being up front about your intentions and your lifestyle weeds a lot of the garbage out
