Thinking... groceries in tha house, what now: do something about the way too tall grass in the front yard or paint?

Thinking... and wondering when summer is finally going to arrive!?
We had a brief period of summer weather in the second half of May but since June arrived it's been nothing but crap weather.
And the longest day is near. Officially the start of summer but why must we wait so frigging long?!

Thinking... nice weather, a good day to chill. Might start working on a new painting, but no hard work in the garden today!

Thinking... glad that thunderstorm has passed! It was the worst one I've ever experienced in my entire life :(

Thinking... I had not counted on more thunder at night. I was just about to fall asleep. Not quite as bad as the earlier one -hope I never have to experience another one like that again! But it kept me awake for quite some time nonetheless.

Thinking... Can't wait for the Gesso (primer) to have totally dried so I can get the paints out!! :D

Thinking... I've just about had enough of this friggin' heatwave! After today there's 2 more extremely hot days to go, Friday being the worst.

It's already 28C in my livingroom...
I think this is the hottest it's ever gotten inside!

But glad to be home... even tho our weather is hitting triple digits at this time...

Code Red today.
Can't recall ever having Code Red :o

There's a 3 day gig next to the beach, stone's throw away from me. 45.000 people a day. I cannot believe it didn't get cancelled... People could die standing on that asphalt, getting excited, drinking alcohol etc. etc.

As for me... started the day of with 29,5C. Indoors...

Thinking... it was good we had a shower just now! The garden needs it!
And first time in days that the temp indoors dropped below 27,5C. For now.
It's been 30C and 30,5C for more days than I like. I'm going to save up for an AC for sure!

Thinking... what an afternoon?!
A cool start after more than a week of extremely high temps, then we got loads of rain, really bad thunder again & again during the entire afternoon.
And once the rain turned to hail of 2-2,5cm Ø !!
THAT was frightening.
I knew it could occur, never had it happen. The noise alone! And I feared the roofing of my extension wouldn't be able to withstand that onslaught. I already had buckets out in case of leakage.
Thank goodness it held!
But the noise, on the flat roof and against the windows...

Humm quarter size hail, Come to Texas we will show you what real hail is.. heck we get at times from baseball size to softball and larger and yes I have seen the softball size hail was just lucky it stopped before it hit my house..

Well and we are doing triple digit in heat 100 and above.. Today it's a 102 no complaints cause there is a nice breeze outside..
