The worst part about being in an online forum, is that people can be whoever they want, rather than who they ARE. I always try to be true to myself, and to not misrepresent myself. I have only belonged to the forum for a couple weeks, and I have met someone wonderful who I am getting to know better, over dates and what not. Now I see people with thousands of posts who haven't met a single person... I don't know what's up with it, but it seems to me like some people may be misrepresenting themselves, and people can tell or something. Any thoughts on this?

i dunno Squiz, I'm not looking for anyone to date, i'm just looking for friends. I've found some great friends too. But personally, i make sure i have a way out when i'm gonna meet someone from online for the first time due to a bad experience a few years ago (actually, two bad ones). But i'm a what you see is what you get type of gal.

I haven't met anyone in person here, though I am a bit socialy inept. But there's too many possible influencing factors to say that they must be misrepresenting themselves, though clearly we do have some fakers;^]

I think u may be right. but you have to be smart online I am finding out. I have met 3 nice peeps on here. Have not met anyone in person yet. Want to make sure the are who they say they are. Congrats on meeting someone here on just say hi. I like it.

Im not sure what the number of post someone has made has to do with their ability find someone on here or if they are fakes or not.

Awwwwwwwwww now I have thousands of post but just have not meet the right one. Besides honest not looking but will not ignore the right one if they happen to come along. I have meet alot of great friends here that I enjoy talking to each and every day.
As far as being yourself I'm as real as real can be. I'm just me no fake or put ons about me. One must realize not all will be honest same as in everyday life just because you think you know someone believe me you really don't know them like you think you do. You can live with someone for 5 years or 10 years and then find out you really did not know them like you thought.
