It's pretty simple really. You made a major life change when you stopped drinking. See it through...create a new circle of friends that challenge, motivate, and inspire you. Your old friends may be happy where they are at, but you seem to be ready to move on to something more substantial.
Bottom line, change your environment and you will change your circumstances...you are in charge, my friend!

i don't drink cause of my regiment, but i prefer that, you are awake now my friend, things are always different now, but you will be more disciplined and aware, and be able to make the decision more clearly on what's right for you. includes friends and girlfriends.

After tonight i really don't know what to think about the oppisite sex... Are all women heartless and superficial??? I still have some faith in u ladies...I need to stop trying to make something worth while with the girls i party with...Since i stopped drinking, things are so different...i've noticed how drunk these ppl really are, and how wrong it is for these ppl to be doing 90% of the **** they do...i guess i just need a whole new group of friends...maybe i'm doing that great forbiden thing called growing up...idk..im soo confused...talk to me ppl! hehe...toads are cool... |

Ok, in my opinion, you are right, you need a new set of friends. You are growing up, and your friends aren't. I think you should let them go before they drag you away from growing up. They will only hold you back. As for women, yes, we can be shallow, immature, rude, and sometimes *****y. However, not all of us women are that way. We, too, are starting to give up on guys. I am starting to, but I came on here, and I've met so many mature guys that really are nice, and they are just what I'm looking for. I hope that someday you find the girl you seek. She is out there somewhere. You will just have to let time pass, ok? Anyways, I wish you good luck in your search of the perfect woman, and always keep your chin up and if a girl rejects you, she isn't worth it at all. Don't give up! You just got to have patience, and that will definitely pay off.

Im going to throw you a bone on this Bro. Kidding aside I can empathize. I used to be aquainted with a bar crowd that was more like a lame soap opera. The cheating going on between couples would make your head spin both guys and gals. Birds of a feather Bro. Probably best you separate from that... ok...deffinetly not gay...just dissapointed in the oppisite sex...and i didn't generilize and lump everyone into a group...just my "group" of friends...they really suck ass sometimes...but they are good ppl who get drunk too much.. i couldnt agree more...i hate the "soap opera" bull shiiiit!!! |

I can understand -- I gave up for awhile -- and I haven't had a drink in many years, and I refuse to even associate with those people, so that does create some limitations, yeah -- but I got tired of seeing people I cared about, kill themselves.... I got very "selective," out of necessity, and then it turned out that the only person who ever really matched up with me at all, suddenly came back into my life -- So you never know what could happen....and certainly, not ALL women are heartless and superficial, just like not ALL men are....but a lot of them are.... It takes time to find a good one, at least in my experience....but it's worth it.... |
