I feel the same way. And having been-there-done-that... I can say that it is indeed the cultural differences that pose the issue (if any), not the skin color. Some cultures expect women to be submissive, others revere them. In some cultures it is quite normal that the grandparents dispense discipline to the children etc. If you take the time to learn the cultural norms of your partner, you have not only broadened your own horizions, but can understand and establish where compromise may/may not be allowed.

As I see it there is only one race....THE HUMAN RACE!

Race is a non-issue for me. It isn't even something I would think about, but I know that's not true for all. You could encounter a lot of negative vibes with inter-racial relationships. Just last night, I had to listen to someone complaining about her (white) daughter dating a 'half-black' guy. I was astounded, but couldn't get into it with her given the social setting (fund-raiser). I guess what I'm saying, you need to be able to stand up to that kind of stupidity if you want the relationship to work.

Yep, you have to be willing to put up with a lot of b.s. I guess if you can find someone who's actually worth all the drama, then go for it.
