I'm a bit puzzled how any of these stories are in any way related to politics. I'd have to reply that that is the point. They aren't. The thread is a break from politics, and they are still current events and news. Ahhh. I see Fear posted, I missed it.  Missed you, Jist.

The resulting suction removed much of her small intestine and caused other internal injuries. It's been a prolonged series of surgeries and medical battles ever since. Abigail could only receive daily nutrition through a feeding tube, but returned to elementary school for a few days in the fall. The formula caused her liver to fail, though. In December, Abigail received a multiple-organ transplant of a new liver, small bowel and pancreas. She suffered complications from the transplant, including a transplant-related cancer that resulted in her need for chemotherapy.
