Are you talking about DOTA2?
Maybe any of the Call of Duty multiplayer games?

The Supreme Court has only ruled that homosexual couples have the protected right to be legally married - not that they have the right to a wedding cake from a specific bakery.

"Examples of symptoms included “acute loss of confidence,” “doubt,” “excessive sleep,” “felt mentally raped, dirty and shameful,” “high blood pressure,” “impaired digestion,” “loss of appetite,” “migraine headaches,” “pale and sick at home after work,” “resumption of smoking habit,” “shock” “stunned,” “surprise,” “uncertainty,” “weight gain” and “worry.” " [sic]

"Excessive sleep". Was this on the wedding night, or after? One or both of them might want to review their performance...
If she "felt mentally raped, dirty and shameful" by not getting a wedding cake, then she must qualify for that "Bridezilla" show that was on the air a few years back. Would she have committed suicide if her dress got stained?
How does "impaired digestion" and "loss of appetite" turn into "weight gain"?
"Pale and sick at home after work"... just means you've done a hard day's work. Inside.
"Resumption of smoking habit". Operative word here is "habit".
"Shock", "stunned" - the groom-analogue.
"Uncertainty", "worry" - the bride-analogue.

According to Wikipedia, a citizen of the United States has to pay up to 39.6% on their income taxes in the highest tax bracket (of 7 brackets).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_tax_in_the_United_States#Taxable_income

Also according to Wikipedia, a citizen of the United Kingdom has to pay up to 45% on their income taxes in the highest tax bracket (of what appears to be 4 brackets).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_the_United_Kingdom#Personal_taxes

This is not including such things as export taxes or tariffs on basic necessities (keep in mind that at this point, the colonists were still British citizens, so tea WAS a necessity!**), which is what the Revolutionary-era colonists would have faced.

**I am joking only to the extent that this is not true.

A "real" woman can headshot an enemy sniper from half a mile away, throw a chakram like a Greek goddess, watch her man's back during the zombie apocalypse, put a lioness to shame when it comes to fighting off threats to her children, and critique my critique of Shakespeare's Hamlet that makes the argument that the title character is a sociopath.

A "real" man can headshot an enemy sniper from half a mile away, dodge the chakram thrown by a Greek goddess, blast his way through the hordes during the zombie apocalypse, kill and eat the crocodile that is threatening his cubs and lioness, and write a review of Shakespeare's Hamlet that is resistant to scholarly critique.

Also, they both can cook.

I can feel a certain "Mulan-esque" vibe in your second profile picture (with your head tilted to the side). It's the cheekbones and having your hair pulled back. If you have a tiny little red dragon, I say go for it!

For some reason, I can't see your second profile photo or your forum photo (it just says princessbloom's photo instead of showing the photo). I'd like your primary profile photo better if you were looking directly into the camera, but I think you look like a friendly, enthusiastic, and generally happy person. (And that's important on a site like this, where a lot of people look like they don't want to be here.)

Your profile says "18 year old woman from Singapore, Singapore", so I think the gender is right, and you don't need to make the correction in your profile text.
It never hurts to add more interests.
I would take out the "so yeah" bit under "I am new to this website so yeah". It doesn't say anything, and makes you sound like what we in the U.S. call a "valley girl".

Make sure that they aren't after you for something else, like your banking information or home address. If you're sure the relationship is legitimate, long-distance can be manageable, but it will also be aggravating at times. This is especially true if you or your partner or both are after things like having a family, moving in together, or actually sharing that first milkshake with the heart-shaped straw.

Also have some way to make sure that the person you're talking with can validate what they say - there are plenty of people on the internet who can keep "relationships" going for a long time based on nothing but lies. After a while (six months, maybe), if your love interest still isn't interested in sharing things like phone numbers, private email addresses, or detailed information about their lifestyle, their politics, their religion, etc, etc, then consider that a big flapping red flag.

Throwin' my patriarchal two cents' in ('cause I wouldn't be an oppressive patriarchal social tyrant if I didn't):
I do not find armpit hair, facial hair, or excessively hairy limbs attractive.
I do find long cranial hair attractive.
For OTHER kinds of hair... Enough to rub my cheek in, not so much that I'll choke.

So the deal is this: a while ago, I purchased Killing Floor 2 from the Steam service by Valve Software. It worked fine for a month or so, but then suddenly I couldn't start it up any more. I'd click the shortcut or .exe file, and it would flicker with a brief window flash, but then not continue.

There's a thread or two on the Steam forums that proposes many possible solutions to this problem (and it seems pretty prevalent - there are reviews of Killing Floor 2 protesting this glitch), but none of the solutions I have been able to try have actually worked.

So, in desperation, I turn to the knowledgeable minds at Mingle Squared to see if they have heard of the problem, or could even propose a solution I haven't tried yet. I spent thirty (30) whole monies on this game, and it doesn't even look like the developers are aware of the problem, or are trying to address it specifically. (The game has been updated a few times since this problem arose, but none of the fixes have fixed this.)

I want to thank you for your review
Let's take the oriental zone for an example and the demolition of the family values and modernality

You mean the demolition of family values like "having unprotected sex and giving birth to a dozen children, then forcing them to work on the family farm for the rest of their lives, so they can barely feed their own country by refusing to adapt more modern farming techniques"?

Yeah, man. Modernity BLOWS.

I was just taking my training for my new job, and our aquatics expert assured me that yes, it's bad to keep goldfish in a bowl. The amount of oxygenated water in a bowl is supposedly not enough to keep a gold fish healthy, and if you have more than one in a bowl it can prohibit their growth.

When I was a kid, I had two goldfish sharing the same bowl (and it wasn't the largest bowl, either). We didn't have a filter or an oxygen pump, either. They seemed to grow up fine until they hit what, back then, to Young Me, was "fully grown". After a while we decided to set them loose in a public pond, and my aquatics expert assured me that was all-around better.

It seems to me that simply showing pictures of random "pleasant" things doesn't constitute pornography - and the scientific community's definition of "erotic" may not satisfy a lot of people. (The picture of the bashful lady in the tasteful pose in the original post, for example. I can't see myself becoming addicted to that.) If they also mixed in "unpleasant" and "neutral" images, the subjects may have been actively turned off by some images, putting them "out of the mood", or even not realizing that what they were looking at qualified as "porn".

For addictions, I think you have to look at the subject in their native environment, so to speak. If it's really an addiction, you have to look at more than just the alleged power of their emotional reaction to the object of their addiction. From what I have heard, a lot of drug addicts hate their addiction, but they still do it because, y'know, they're addicted. You have to look at more conditions than simple "emotional" reactions, like whether or not they are putting their addiction ahead of other, more important things in life, like family relationships or a job.

Having a lower "LPP" (which personally I've never even heard of before - what happened to the good old measurements of things like dopamine and endorphins?) doesn't mean the person isn't addicted to something. Aside from the potential emotional hate for the object of the addiction, perhaps the reason why people are addicted to porn is because it puts them in a relaxed, peaceful-minded state, like marijuana. I'd compare these results to the results of those who are tested for a marijuana addiction, or some other drug or activity that helps you relax or become more clear-minded. Perhaps painkillers ("Paging Doctor House...").

This experiment doesn't prove that pornography can't be an addiction - it doesn't really prove much either way, I think. (And not just because of the small test group.) Whenever you start mixing the sciences, you get into trouble, because what could be valid results for one, can be misinterpreted or ignored if you have to read it in the context of another.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (duh), and I'd be okay with being a drawn-in extra on Gargoyles (the guy standing behind everybody else snapping pictures of all the supernatural goings-on mouthing "AWESOME!").

Speaking for myself, I usually get a hit on my profile once or twice every few weeks. I was in an email conversation with a couple ladies a while back, but neither has been replying for a few months. Relying solely on profile traffic usually only nets you scammers and/or people who don't want to hold a real conversation.

I'd say the best way to find someone would be to keep using the forums, here, so you can find like-minded people, get your name and picture out there, and so people can see how you think and what your interests are. It's a much better introduction to somebody else than an awkward "Hi..." and an emoticon. And if someone on the forums catches your eye, you probably have a conversation starter ready to go when you send them an email!
