We could have had boots on the ground within 18 hours of the warnings.
I would like answers!

According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.

I don't understand why nothing was done to protect our embassies.
I wonder if we will get any answers why nothing was done to keep our people from being murdered.

Unfortunate turn of events. Just another case of the chickens coming home to roost. And what morons decided to make videos to instigate these events knowing it would put peoples lives in jeapardy?

That's just it. Morons not the view of America. Islam the religion of peace? Why don't they understand it was an individual doing this NOT AMERICA. Someone makes a video and that's a pass to murder?
There was 2 diferent embassys attacked on the anniversary of 9/11
Coincidence? I think not. It was a planed attack. AN ACT OF WAR!!!

And now the US ambassador to Libya was killed.
Is that an act of war? Should we cut off funding to them?

The only problem with voting for RP is he doesn't have enough support.
I truly wish RP would have won the nomination.
IMHO a vote for RP is a vote for Obama.

Ya, and if anyone knows how to remove the
images in my mind of those planes going
into those buildings, tell me now.

As hard as it is to relive seeing the images of the planes flying into the WTC buildings. I never want to forget them.

Obama killed him. If he would have closed gitmo like he promised and signed an executive order that he didn't follow through with the detainee might be alive today.

Something's are easier to fix than to explain how to fix it.

I guess I didn't quite explain what I meant. I usually know how to fix or do the project but sometimes just want a second opinion on another way to tackle the problem. I am a lot smarter than I look. bigsmile

Nope I gotcha.
I was just saying the other way to tackle the problem might be easier to do than it would be to explain how to do it.

that would be a question for whomever is responsible for drafting the platform,,,,,

Yes it is and none of them are giving an answer.

So what if the Dems platform does not contain "God".

Look at what the GOP Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney believes:

God was a flesh and bones alien living on the planet Kolob.
When Mitt Romney dies, he will become a God and have his own planet.

the platform has been revised and God was mentioned all through the convention, so its really already a past issue and the thread should die soon,,,lol

Yes that really sounded like a 2/3 majority to me. They must have counted the dead voters to get to the 2/3 needed to pass it.
"They were against God before they were for him" -Paul Ryan

And why was it removed in the first place?
Every answer I hear is different.

was it 'removed'? where is the document it was 'removed' from?

The 2008 Democratic Party platform has the aforementioned statements that were added to the 2012 platform yesterday.

ok, so it was different than it was four years ago?

that actually makes sense,,,

Obviously it's different but why was any reference to God and Jerusalem taken out?

Yep it really sounded like they wanted it put back in.
I think his guy has a hearing problem.

Yeah, the vote to put the those things back into the platform was not a unanimous vote. When the voice vote was conducted, there were delegates who shouted, "No!"

Lol yeah it sounded 50/50 to me not a 2/3 majority.
