 I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee and thinking of the Friends i've helped in the past i've talked to here recently about my surgery? And out of all of them a Man of 84 and his wife are the only 2 willing to assist me in preparations in packing for this move to my daughters ? He also recently went through surgery on his head(fluid on the brain) having a hole drilled in his skull to release pressure. I know their sincerity to help but tell them "i've got it covered"! Got to get it done while i still have 1&1/2 arms for the job. Where are the friends? Oh well i'm just sharing a morning thought here with my friends on mingle hopeing it just this area, or is it spread everywhere? Just a morning thought i needed off my chest. Used to be a giver, a pleaser, eternal helper, mostly at my own expense. Now I got healthier borders so if I give, it's okay, I don't overdo anymore. I've also learnt to receive when given, whether it's material or a compliment. Just like MsHarmony I feel that asking for things is somewhat more difficult still, although I do do it at times. Depends on what it's about I guess. Must say I find it typical that everyone says he/she's a giver, as if there's something wrong with taking? Both giving and taking can be wrong and hurtful to yourself (and others) if there is no inner balance. Seems to me that ppl think it looks better to say they're a giver and saying you're a taker means you're selfish. @ TXSgal, what a nice piccie you got up! My own Daughter scold me for this(giver) but its just me i guess? I'm really working to bring a balance to this,but its really hard ! People throughout life had that option, "Taking Advantage"of my good Nature. But i always tell her" if it puts them in Heaven with it , Then it may keep me out of Hell-o without it. It always comes back!!

Thanks to everyone! But for putting my feet up? Adapt and Overcome has been my life motto! I have a lot of woodworking,with other projects to finish!! I can't use a drawknife or handplane now, so i bought a beltsander. Nothing short of Death will keep this Graywolf down for long!! Then there is Gardening,Flowers(especially Roses)and of course Grandchildren to teach what i have learned through life!! And a Daughter and Son-in-law to drive crazy!! Whoops i had better rethink that one( Might get my butt paddled) Ok i'm up for Adoption as of NOW!! If i get paddled i'm going to at least enjoy it!!

I've just learned to develop a thicker skin about it and trolls just don't really bother me anymore. It is just people on the internet trying to get a reaction out of you, or just being annoying and they can only do that if you let them. In a way it's like therapy or an anger management thing. There's not really anything that anybody on here can say to or about me that would really bother me anymore. I too have developed my senses, reflexes and neutral defenses by my experiences online. But like I said, I'm here looking to connect with like minds on a dating site. I didn't come here thinking I was going to be unwittingly drawn into an anger management group therapy type thingy. On the gaming site forum that I was on I was sent to the flame forum to do my posting because I was pissing off a lot of people by keeping criticising how a lot of other players were playing the game. The rules are different in the flame forum and you can say pretty much anything that you like about anybody as long as you don't use personal information that they didn't bring into the ring themselves. I actually give them personal information about myself out of choice and I don't have to do that and I could be a cowardly troll that flames other people but doesn't divulge things about myself like they are but that just makes them into shadowy non entities really and that's how I look at them. It's called flamebaiting when people post things that are going to draw personal attacks. If you do it on here you get the personal criticism and that maybe makes you think about yourself and your problems and you can become less sensitive about it. It's not being able to take personal criticism that stops a lot of people from getting over their problems and holding onto anger and resentment. Once you stop just blaming other people you can start to take a good look at yourself and really own up to your faults. That's how I look at it. This explanation is blowing me away. If this is indeed how the games are played, or the fun is had on the boards... why is a dating site used in this manner? Whose business is it of others to nit pick and criticize any other member for their personal views or beliefs on a dating site? Even if people think they are trying to be of some psychological or social benefit to someone, if all they ever do is mock, poke fun and criticize how are they really being helpful? Or are they merely justifying their bully and alienating divisive tactics with self denial excuses? Isn't positive feedback ever an option? Or is the role of the group to completely tear a person down so they can remake them in their own image the only acceptable format? If this is indeed the case, then we really don't know what kind of people we are meeting online who may have an agenda that has absolutely nothing to do with dating and making new friends. To me this would be a more bait and switch type thing. Good Morning (Beautiful)! Nobody needs a Thick Skin on here or anywhere else! Life is tough enough without this!! I'm not creating another shell to crawl into and neither should you!! Friends First ******** Begone!! Real Men and Women won't prevolk an argument anyhow just to make themselves look Good!!

I finally have a date for surgery. Its the 4th of June. They have to reattach a tendon in my right sholdersocket.6 to 8 weeks in a sling, Then 7 to 9 months therapy-recovery time. Everything else is unknown until this surgery is performed. More time to aggravate on here!! Chin up,best foot toward!! Selling my camper and moving near my Daughter soon after surgery, going to need help for this.
