Parents, children etc that you'd met someone on line, and were planning to go to visit them, what were the reactions you received?

I've not met anyone online..yet

I'm sure my parents would look at me a bit funny, but tell me to do what makes me happy. My father, all the while would worry sick about me

I didn't tell them the truth.ohwell

I said I had met him at a coffee shop. After a few dates I fessed up and told them that I had met him on a dating site. I didn't like keeping the truth to myself, but I knew if I told the truth right away I'd get a lecture about creepy people on the net.

But, really. What difference does it make if you met the person online or at a bar? If you are not smart, and don't ask the right questions, you could still meet up with a weirdo...TED BUNDY was not online!

People online are real!
There are wierdos online and offline
You should use common sense no matter what method you use for dating.
