I just went to Walmart. Most of the people there were not speaking English. I don't know if this is the third world but it is not the world in which I was raised.

I don't know what that feels like. lol

It has to be experienced to be believed and not understood.

Many areas around Houston are Latino to a degree where English is not necessary or necessarily desired.

I've been to the Hispanic area in my city. I attend the Cinco de Mayo.
I have a friend that owns a Mexican restaurant and I'm usually the only English speaking person in there. But..when I go the store, I've never seen people that work there not speak English. Hmmm...I'm thinking that I've never seen a Hispanic person working at the stores or fast food. I've had Bosnian cashiers waiting on me though.

lots and lots of mexicans in my area. working mostly. doing construction. they are building lots of new houses in my neighborhood that people promptly move into. I also see them working fast food jobs all the time. and yes some of the fast foods there are no american speaking people working there at all. its quite shocking and irritating honestly.

but my believe is that americans dont want some of these jobs anyhow. Idk, they most have contracted them to start building these houses in my neighborhood. cheaply Im sure.

Go to Miami and everyone only speaks Spanish with broken English unless you live in a high class neighborhood.

All stores and events are in Spanish primarily for the majority don't and can't speak English. The government doesn't enforce it here as the majority who are working in the government are latinos'. The mayor and all his cronies.

Also more then half of the population are Latino's.

If I didn't learn the language it would be very hard to make ends meet. Fortunately, I pick up on languages quickly as Spanish is my 4th language that I have learned.

Don't blame the latino's for coming here to work, blame the government for not telling the truth to the public about how they want third world country citizens to come into the country to fill up corporation jobs for low wages that most Americans don't want.

Cleaning guts out of cows, picking the vegetable and fruit from the fields, cleaning windows of high rises, doing custodian work in public buildings, cleaning the streets, construction work, bellboys and other hotel activities, etc. etc.

Show me an American that will do this for $6 to $8 a hour without complaining like a baby?

The time has come where Americans will have to accept great sacrifices to restore its image, trust, and positive productivity for the children of the future who are born in this country.

Good luck Americansdrinker

When will the US become Third- Worldly?

The US will become a corporate wasteland for foreign investors unless American corporations start creating better products that can compete with the world market.

Until then sales will not exceed expectations and the debt will continue to rise causing inflation and less creditabilty with other countries.

Obama invested money to the people in hopes that the people will bring in profits to pay back the debt and keep the economy stabile.

What would be interesting is how will the country pay back its 11 trillion dollar debt and make a surplus to keep programs running?

Small correction:

Debt does not cause inflation. Inflation is an increase in the quantity of money, which has a meaning of diluting the value of every separate unit of money. Only government can cause inflation. They do it by "creating new money", or frankly by writing bad checks, and forcing the people to accept these new bad checks on par with previously issued ones.

If debt could do that, then we would be able to expand (meant: inflate) our economy by simply borrowing money.

I agree with the rest of your observations, though!drinker
