I'm still confused on what "curvy" actually is..

I think it's the new hip slang for BBW's, clasical figure women, or plus sized. Mingle has their own slang for this known as "a few extra pounds." Women come in all shapes and sizes and different personalities to match those figures. So a man is a fool to completely rule out a physical figure based on looks are everything.

I don't think a man should rule anything out either..but we do have preferences. If some one is overweight they should say that...
I always put average on mine..I'm not over weight but I have curves and I don't want to use "curvy" because most of the men I talk to about it say that when they see curvy they assume she's overweight, Where it should say a few extra pounds..

Interpretation means everything. I always thought curvy was in the middle of straight up and down like a line and a shape that is more of a cirlce because it is so round and without form. Curvy was always the desirable balance,,to me. I did an artistic nude photo a few years ago, depicting CURVES on a female. I think the hourglass or pepsi bottle curve of a womans hip-waist-bust ratio is what makes her look FEMININE. Its a beautiful thing.

ladylid, I guess I mostly agree with you about the preference thing, but come on, at the beginning we're talking about friends, casual dating, or maybe if you're lucky a one nighter or a weekend. If this is the case, then I think most people should broaden their prefence search. Try the different flavors, and then make a decision based on a combination of physical attributes and psych profile and if you wish to persue something more intimate and long term.

I agree with you on the hourglass shape, that is how we are supposed to be..I think for women..that's a woman build. I'm just referring to the fact that having that shape but with 50 extra pounds..wouldn't that be considered "a few extra pounds"? I don't really care actually..just wondering how curvy, a few extra pounds, average..ya know how we define ourselves is different for everyone. I am curvy. I'm a curvy size 6..so I'm thinking a curvy size 16 would be a few extra pounds... anyway.

The hourglass shape, the proverbial ideal figure? Since when, the 1950s? Man's ideal woman has constantly been evolving. In fact I remember when men wanted big breasts in the 70s and 80s and now want women with big booties and champagne glass sized-athletic breasts. It's always changing and you need to realize what YOU want, not what society tells YOU what you should want.

I consider it an artistic picture because nothing is actually showing, I understand if it is deleted though,,,just making a point about curves.

msharmony, I got banned for 3 days from Mingle for showing a monkey tatoo on a woman's butt last week. Just be careful, I know I will be from now on. But I get your point. And the pic, slightly exaggerated by the pose and curve of the spine, but yes I get the idea.

Exactly..that is curvy..you don't have extra pounds on your curves...
that's my point. You are curvy but not overweight..now with those curves and 20, 30 or more extra pounds it wouldn't be curvy, it would be "a few extra pounds" Very nice picture..I'm sure it will be gonelaugh soon.

I must be flat...because none of this is making sense to me at all. Did this topic just take a complete 180?

One minute, n00b people out of the woodwork...next minute only the regulars remain?

We're good...

Curves are great, attitude to go with those curves is even better. Nothing is better than a cuddle from a curvy girl who delights in plastering every square inch of those curves against you :-)

I do not see this picture as curvy. She has the natural curves of a woman but curvy by my understanding means more to her than that. So she would be CURVY...lol
