Yes.

should a wemon expect it.. no

should a man expect to have to.... yes

i would think the best thing to do would be to meet her in her home town in a bar she feels safe at

if she wanted to come to me, i would still sugest the above. The temptation to abduct her would be too much if she came to me

It depends on their situations..I am in a position where I could be the one to make such a trip, and actually I would love to get out of my town for a minute. I don't think it should be expected, there shouldn't be any expectations..

I think it depends on the circumstances and what is easier for either there is no definitive answer to this one whatever is the best answer is between what is most convient for for all involved!!

I'd try for half-way. But like Lady said, I could use an excuse for a vacation. I just need a job that wouldn't threaten to fire me for taking time off. rant

I've met several women that lived far away and they all came to meet me. Why should it be the guy that has to go?

I've met two guys who lived far. I went to see the first one. Mainly because I wanted to take a little vacation. I didn't mind at all. The second came to see me. It just worked out that way. No biggie either way.

It just depends on how it works out... I don't think either should be expected to do it either b/c of gender or ego..

Well, that depends on several things. Honestly, the man should offer, if he is being a gentleman.
However, in some cases it might make more sense for the woman to travel.
Thus, they should discuss it and agree on who is travelling! Or maybe meet in the middle for a vacation-date!

initially i thought yes, but i think all circumstances are different so, i would have to say it depends on what the two involved are most comfortable with.

I don't have an expectation either way. It's who ever can travel and can afford it

I always thought it was part of the courting ritual a man should show what a gent he is so yes he should travel to see her, wine and dine her open doors for her and all that mushy stuff thats part of dating.
Now my problem is i am gay so should i travel to see her or should she travel to me? laugh or we both do and pass each other on the roadslaphead somthing tells me we where never ment to meet:laughing:  Anna x

Exactly, I have met women who were filthy rich and wanted to either come to see me or send a private jet. Every situation is different. Personally I love traveling so I would prefer to do most, if not all of the traveling until the relationship was more set in stone. The bottom line is to be together.
