Would you date people that have existing children if you were never married?

Yep. In fact, I'd prefer it, being a single Dad myself... ok, scratch that... I guess I missed the never married part the first time. oops

It would depend on the person with kids. I can't say I'd never date someone with kids.

its my preference,, actually

I dont want to 'have' anymore of my own, but I want a partner who has some experience and understanding of the work and sacrifice parenting involves and who is less likely to want me to have anymore, ..lol

i live in the midwest where the only women that have learned to keep their legs closed are the ones who have kids but no man. and even some of them haven't learned to keep their legs closed.

of course this is a gross generalization, but at my age the chances of finding an attractive woman without kids are about the same as those of winning the lottery. i'm not opposed to dating a woman with kids, but i don't want to meet them until her and i have established that we have a connection and that we want to pursue a relationship. no point in introducing kids to strangers who they only see once or twice.

I have been married (sorry I know you said not married) and my children are older but I have adopted my 5 year old grandson who has disabilities and have not yet met the man who could accept that.

I guess as you get older it is unusual to have very young children about .

I wouldn't have a problem personally if someone had kids of their own....unless they had about 15 of them lol noway

No, I've been careful to not have children, and not interested in dealing with his, though its less about the kids, then the ex and baggage that comes with it. Of course, since I've met some truly horrid little kids that are spoiled and nasty because the parents are overcompensating for being divorced, maybe some of it is about the kids.

well, I have been married and I have kids, Even tho they r older, and dating me is like dating a single person without kids because they don;t live with me, I still wouldn't mind dating someone with children as long as there were reasonable boundaries.

For a long time I would not date someone who had kids who were still young, but I really like the idea much better now. My biggest hesitation centers more on continued involvement with an ex, rather than the children themselves. The "ex" factor would be a big part of the boundary discussion.

It really depends on the man & the circumstances. Whether he has children, or custody - whatever, is just a small piece of who he is.
