My dad and I were watching the news around 11 this morning. They were talking about Elizabeth Edwards and the battle with cancer. They never said she passed away. But their report led to believe she wasn't expected to live very long.

And now we hear of her passing away around 10 this morning. Quite ironic for the news to report on E. Edwards before reporting her death.

I don't think politics should have any place in this discussion. Elizabeth Edwards was a successful woman in her own right and showed a grace few people can exhibit-especially on a national public forum. She should be remembered for her unerring faith, her lover fo rher family, and her steadfast devotion to all she believed in. John Edwards was a fool. She was a good woman.

When the two of them got married John had to borrow money from her dad so they could have a one night honeymoon. The wedding ring she wore cost $11 and for years they spent their anniversaries at Wendy's which was where they spent their first one. Thought that was kinda interesting.

It's a shame that Edwards made the last couple years of his wife's life miserable and constantly hurt her emotionally.

Read the book "Game Change"
by John Heilemann (Author)& Mark Halperin (Author)

It paints a completely different picture of the Edwards than what we have been told by the media.

It's a great read.

RIP EE

Edwards is a piece of garbage. Anyone who would do that to their wife, especially when she is dying is a piece of crap.

May she rest in peace...brokenheart

Cancer is such a horrible disease, my brother is having surgery for abdominal cancer in the morning.

Please remember that this was a person, a mother, who died....who gives a crap about politics right now? Think of the loss her family is going through.

I never had the privilege of meeting Elizabeth, But I always heard she was a very kind woman of outstanding grace.

A friend of mine actually visited the Edwards' home in North Carolina. He accidentally spilled a glass of red wine on their Immaculate white carpet. He apologized several times, until Mrs. Edwards smiled and said "Don't worry about it, I've been trying to get John to replace this carpet for years,"

I believe the world has lost something wonderful in Elizabeth Edwards.

In mental health we ignore and redirect.... so, if you can't redirect a negative behavior, you ignore it.

Why does this have to become something political or religious?

A wonderful women has died. It should be lefted at that!

In 20 years of discussing politics on the Internet, I've come to the conclusion that it's always the same: "To someone with a hammer, anything that displeases them looks like a nail." Nothing is sacred if it scores points.

I watched my Mom die of the same type of cancer and it's one of the most difficult things in life to emotionally process.

It's a horrible way to go, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.......(Except maybe a pedophile or rapist.)
