This is a toast to the simple and honest people in our lives.
For the Mothers and fathers.... Brothers and sisters... Friends and neighbors... Loves and Lovers... This is gratitude for those who don't try to be more than what they are. This is a thank you for the ones who share a bit of themselves and ask nothing in return. This is for the ones who don't have a lot to give...but, give anyway. This is a smile for the ones who give us a shoulder to lean on with no judgements for our past. This is a heartfelt thank you for the people of this site who have put up with our sh** and let us be who we are. This is me lifting my cup to my fellow Mingletards...... We aint perfect. But, what family is? Critical and cynical... Loveable and laughable... For the dreamers... For the lovers... For the ones who still have hope... For the ones with no hope who are still fighting... I thank you for being who you are....I thank you for letting my friends be themselves...I thank you for letting me be me. You simple people are family to me. I am proud for it. The rest of you can blow. That is all.... (it is never a good idea to let me raise a toast at public gatherings) |
