Honduras. I have only been there once but I fell in love...

Either that or somewhere in the Cape Verde islands but as I have never visited, couldn't say exactly where

That's a tough question for someone who lives in Hawaii. Most people who take vacations over here go to Vegas. I like South Isle New Zealand but they've been getting a bunch of earthquakes lately so I don't know. I still have a while to worry about that

Hmmmm since officially I am retired and I like California's mild climate for my old bones I would be hard pressed to be motovated to move elsewhere. But if it meant a happy mate being near family I would consider other places seriously. I have found whenever I make plans that is usually when the Big Guy decides to take my life in a whole new direction. lol

I'm pretty happy where I am. Maybe I'd go a couple hours south,
I'd definitely stay in the area.

The Outback.

Great minds think alike.

For some reason the lyric "You took the words right out of my mouth...must have been when you were kissing me"..... (great Meatloaf tune!)....just popped into my head.

Dallas, where I am. It is central to my kids and has lots of amenities.

Didn't know you were in Dallas brother!

You are definitely in range if we do another local Mingle meet. (I think one will happen soon)

My sister lives out that way in Red Oak.

Yeah man You can get pretty much anyhing in Dallas.

I'm still giving the OP's question thought...

I like beautiful scenery with mountains and lakes and meadows and wildlife, but I don't want to deal with cold snowy winters in those places.

So the question is, where can I have these things all in one spot?

Somewhere out in the country where the nearest neighbor is miles away, where there's a pond for skinny dipping, room for horses and nothing but trees as far as the eye can see.
