bad behavior LINKED to spankings

Am I in a socially conscious thread, or in a kink thread?

Anyhow... criminal behaviour linked to chain gangs.

IQ doesn't mean anything. This is a BS article written by one who clearly has issues.

Nah , he just had a low IQ:wink:

That's right. The biggest bigotry is the disdain the high IQ people feel against their low counterparts, and the fist-forming hatred the low IQ people feel against their high-horse counterparts.

All other bigotry (racism, pc, redneckism, social liberalism, etc.) are mere reflections and variations on the form of ideolgical hatred between the two groups.

I HAve loved ones risking their life for AMerica DAILY

dont assume things

I have not 'disrespected' soldiers
I have only stated a reality they face, because they are American

and AMERICAN media and public education BREEDS Racism on different levels

and the US MILITARY INSTITUTION

where some lives are more expendable than others
and its 'us' vs 'them

is not immune from that same breeding

You are the one making the assumption of racism in the military!
I am still waiti g for your facts to prove it on the level you are assuming it.
Do you understand the rank structure in the military?

Do you understand how promotions are givin in the military?

very perceptive p o v

I think we all grow up with,,,certain programming if you wil

that teaches us to 'rank' people,

based on income level, or race, or gender, or occupation,,etc,,,

rather than see each as individually valuable in different ways,,,

that sets the breeding ground I speak of when it comes to RACISM,(or sexism) when our public education and media are bombarded with imagery that we most easily associate with race or gender,,,,(Visually speaking)

Nobody is making the claim that all soldiers are racist..And most probably aren't! But every organization has issues and problems that need to be brought out in the open and addressed and resolved at times...One person's experience may be different than what someone else "saw" or experienced within the same organization...When my husband was in boot camp he said a lot of guys "picked on" a guy who probably had OCD. (Obsessive Compulive Disorder.) And the bullying got pretty bad at times. Sad!...No organization is totally "perfect" at all times. Human "factors" come into play. But no one is trying to demean the entire military or all soldiers in general.

so what does racism have to do with the dems calling the repubs stupid? dems like to holler racism at every turn, even when the shoe doesn't fit. The tea party is a little racist, but the republicans are not really, as a whole. The dems put that spin on it because they are lazy, and do not want to work for a living, and would rather have people as slaves of the government by extending benefits and handing out food stamps like crazy. why would anyone want to work for less than the government gives them? The republicans want to put people back to work, but the dems would rather give the lazy people everything for free...

hmm

so what have been the 'repubs' job creating ideas?

and how do you define free or lazy?

work for welfare mandates people work,,,so why is that getting something for 'free'

there are people in each party who are racist, just like there are people in all income brackes who commit crime

yet, certain ....Variables, ,,,make it easier and more acceptable sometimes for certain crimes to be committed or for certan people to be racist

'repubs' dont have a recent history of aknowledging or showing concern for racial disparities,, so they have a more FERTILE ground for racism charges

racial disparities? just a load of made up bunk... so tell me, in this day and age, what are the racial disparities?

pointing them out would be futile because Im sure it would be argued that the issue wasnt really race,,,,

good, because to me, it's a thing people use to get their way, when everything else fails...

Speaking of prejudice;

What group/party wrote the Jim Crow Laws?

What Dem. Pres. said, "Now, we'll have those n****rs voting democrat for the next 200 years?"

What MSM station refused to air speeches made by negro Repubs at the current convention?

What was then the democratic party has now turned into the republican party.

Msharmony,

The military helped make me racist and it has taken a long time to recover as you say.

But that was late 60s and early 70s, methinks they are better integrated now...

If the military made you racist, how did many others get through being in the military without being racist?

they didnt, although they may have learned to fight against it so that they became 'recovering' racists,,,

some racism is just much more subtle and less 'hateful' than other racism,,,

You're saying that everyone in the military is racist?

the great majority of AMERICANS are racist (subtle and overt) unless they came up with little access to media or public education

Nice. Now you're calling most Americans racist along with all of the military.

It's pretty clear to a lot of people.

But, since we're talking about prejudice here, judging from these forums, more conservatives are racist or bigots than liberals are.

really? why is it if someone didn't like obama's policies, or just didn't like him for any reason, they were automatically labeled a racist? i heard no one calling him any names, but were still declared a racist? why is it if a black person and a white person are both applying for a job, the person making the decision has to worry about being a racist if they hire who they thought was best?
i've said it before, and i'll say it again, it's the "crying wolf" syndrome, and me being white in America, i see very little, if any, racism you seem to think is so rampant here..

I can't speak for others, but I wouldn't call someone a racist simply for not liking Obama. People are often called racist for saying racist things, though. Then they get upset at being called out on those racist comments. Same with bigots.

Well, you're pretty much calling everyone racist without backing it up with specifics.

its hard to be 'specific' about racism

the mind categorizes things through our sensory perception

touch, sound, sight, smell, and taste

when we touch something unpleasant, like a tack for instance,
our mind takes in the SENSORY IMAGE And makes a future correlation between that IMAGE And that FEELING

likewise, with what we read and SEE in public education and media, our minds AUTOMATICALLY make a correlation

so if we see alot of males being violent, we will associate violence more quickly with males than with females

if we see alot of women being caretakers, we will associate nurturing with women more quickly than with men,,,

....and following suit

when we see blacks primarily entertaining(music, sports) and committing crime,, we will associate entertainment and crime with black people more quickly then with other races

(ever heard the phrases 'talk like a black person/white person' or 'soulful/fly for a white guy'?

these are forms of SUBTLE racism, they arent HATEFUL at all, but they are there in our minds to attribute a skill or characteristic almost automatically with race

we have to work to UNLEARN what it is natural for the mind to do as a result of our CULTURE and our MEDIA and our EDUCATION

if you grow up in america , with media and public education, you have these intrinsic and AUTOMATIC associations imprinted in your mind from a young age,, at least until one becomes self aware enough to notice and actively work at counteracting that imprinting,,,

with experience, exposure, and logic,,,

it all depends upon the person

if a person, whatever their color may be, seems to have a double standard between individuals with no distinguishable difference other than RACE

I will figure it is race based bias, or RACISM,,yes

and black people can be racist against blacks so I have known some people like what you have inquired about

you being white would have less of a tendency to recognize racism against BLACKS

you would be more likely, as a white person, to be able to recognize racism against WHITES

but systemically, there is no evidence of any such animal, although INDIVIDUALLY it exists across racial lines,,,
