These kinds of knee jerk reactions from people and particularly the stock market are negative fear based reactions based on fear. We (all people) need to stop reacting or making decisions based on fear of what "might" happen and begin making decisions to adjust for actual events and actual problems. this I can agree with,,,time to do the actual 'work' and less of the backseat driving criticizing,, u are either part of the problem or part of the solution, I think we need to start making sure we elect politicians who are trying to be solutions instead of trying to create problems... |

Way to go America. well, whats to be expected? their millionaire ceos take paycuts?... nope, those folks who just want 'stuff' will be made to pay so those who already have the 'stuff' can hang on to it and attain more,,, All the ceo's are millionaires? There are a lot of small businesses that will be forced to close down because of this. because OBama was reelected? certainly not..... no business closes down because of who is elected President, its just not that simple,,, Did you read any of the links posted as to why they are doing it? It's because of this administrations tax plan, regulations, and the affordable healthcare act. That's the reason businesses are doing this. So yes you could say in part because he was reelected. There is no chance to change. This administrations policies are not business friendly. the president doesnt set taxes by himself, we have a checks and balances government,, so , no, its not as simple as who the president is the congress plays a big part that people continuously ignore in their whinging about laws, taxes, and regulations,,,, Who signs these into law? a president signs the laws CONGRESS puts forth so, its not an issua as simple as who the president is (especially since this president RARELY uses veto) But why worry? It's all over 21th next month anyhoo!

Way to go America. In my state the big news is that we are adding jobs. Guess it depends on 1 your source and 2 what we are doing for the positive to get things back on track after many years of taking our sites collectively off the target. Last month I fired 2 people for being negative and non-productive and hired one person to replace them that does the work of both and better. So it depends on your point of view I guess. My view is if I have the better worker on the job it will help my company to stay focused and hire more good people sooner than later instead of standing still or even losing ground with the people who didn't care to do quality. The West continued to record the highest regional unemployment rate in September, 9.1 percent, while the Midwest again reported the lowest rate, 7.4 percent. Over the month, three regions experienced statistically significant unemployment rate changes, all of which were declines: the West (-0.3 percentage point), South (-0.2 point), and Midwest (-0.1 point). Way to go America. One major local business here already said they are going to be forced to close and one will have to lay off over 1/3rd of their employee's when Obama care goes into full effect. |

Considering too that a Republican site on Facebook posted a post encouraging all conservative business owners to lay off one employee who voted for Obama preferably in order to make a point against the president, I would think they might be doing it for other reasons than because of a financial difficulty. But I sure do hope that voters remember this type of thing too as it is very Non American worker and supporter to even suggest such a thing during a recession. On another site, people are talking about how employers should lay off liberals. There are several people saying they've never hired liberals and won't be doing so in the future. They actually want to see liberals lose their jobs. How sad. Then, of course, they will complain when people are on unemployment. Liberals have jobs?  Yea, going to the welfare office is their job. |

When faced with the astronomical figures, Gertrude Walker, Supervisor of Elections for St. Lucie County, said she had no idea why turnout was so incredibly high. She was flabbergasted, saying, “We’ve never seen that here.” Coincidentally (or not), St. Lucie County is also in Allen West’s district, where 6,000 votes mysteriously “shifted” from Mr. West to his challenger.
