I would think it would be more interesting to ask why those who ONLY date non-whites, do so. But maybe it's just the Historian in me, wondering about peoples' choices.

Now that I think back, I don't recall hearing about any significant number of white males, insisting on dating ONLY black women. I wonder if that's a thing too?

I agree

I would believe white girls dating black guys Is different than white girls dating ONLY black guys

the latter seems sadder than the former, as it suggests they don't find anything attractive about their own asthetic race,,,
sad is an unusual word to use ms harmony ... I would be interested to hear exactly what you think is so SAD about either situation . ..

I only think the former is sad, it indicated to me that person has found nothing in their asthetic or cultural traits attractive, or is perhaps even turned off by their own asthetic or cultural traits

My opinion

The ops is fishing for a white woman. Those who do respond in a favorable way, will then be on the short line.

Marketing 101

Just my opinion..

A quick look through the OP's other posts he has made will tell you that he has a chip on his shoulder the size of New York.

I'd like to think it's because I uttered the right lines at the right times. As with the women of other ethnicities I've had the pleasure of dating.

I question how honest we are being with ourselves when we reproach other people's choice or dismissal of GROUPS" of people, based on one characteristic. Is it not possible that many of us are guilty of frequently dismissing groups of people romantically/sexually, based on one feature too , but we just dont realise it.? When we dismiss someone"s photo in mingles at lightening speed , who knows what thought bubbles pop up above our heads?. For all we know , that bubble might very well read ..

Nah...eyes too big
Nah... teeth too crooked
Nah... eyebrows too bushy

... and a host of other " silly" stuff.

And i put "silly" in quotation marks because it might be silly to other people but the fact thst we dismiss several individusls with that feature shows how important it is to us. And is it not possible that the person who uses race as their disqualifier is simply dismissing a feature like most of us do, but they do it by ignorantly associating that one feature with a specific race affiliation?

Yep, all that
I find my race to be most attractive to ME visually.. So I do not even consider anyone Black , Asian, Green, Purple,
I am a product of my ingrained upbringing
That is not to say that I would not have another race person as a friend, but NO to a sexual attraction

the difference I see is 'race' is something that one can do nothing about

not like BO, or poor hygiene, or other things that may singularly rule an individual out

so when one singles out one thing that an individual had some control over, its quite different than ruling out a whole group over a trait they have no control over

and because that one individual may come back later an no longer have that one thing that turns us off

and online, when we are looking at hundreds and hundreds of people, photos are only a way of 'narrowing' down the options and not the same as actual RT choices when we are getting to know the individual

for me,, race is a special 'category' for one to discriminate against because its socially constructed and not a 'thing' at all when it comes to individuals

so , to me, since we date individuals and not demographics, to pass over anyone that belongs to a racial demographic is sad enough,, but when that racial demographic is the very one we belong too,, it borders on self hatred

,,just my opinion though

i always looked at it when you attracted to someone, try to get to know them... race doesn't mater then...

but i'll have to agree with green eyes, every time i see a "white girls" thread, it just seems like a fishing trip to me, nothing else...

I have never dated outside of my race but I can honestly say that that I am open to it. In fact I am not even strict where looks are concerned even in my own race. An individual is a whole package to me.

Why do white girls date black men?

Maybe because they have become friends working or going to school or serving in the military together. Maybe because the "black" guy actually ask them out while the other guys just stood around with their teeth in their mouth. Maybe because the "black" guy that ask them actually dressed and acted like a gentleman; and had a good job and could afford to date. Maybe because the "black" guy was actually single. Maybe because their friends and family are inter-culturally married. Maybe because they have been taught all their life that race is not the only consideration in choosing a person to date. Maybe because they are actually bi-racial themselves and it is just not obvious. Maybe they have a biracial child already or are known to date interracially and "white" now will not date them.
