This is the testimonial from the user papillone.
Our story starts in December 2015. We lived in different parts of the world, 9000 km apart. I (Papillone) a 52 y.o. Russian woman living in the USA, Daksydog a 66 y.o. man in France. We met on Mingle. I was hoping to meet a French-speaking partner to improve my French and possible (if lucky) to find me a husband. Daksydog turned out to be an English gentleman who was hoping to find a female best friend locally. We started communicating on Mingle, and soon after switched to emails. At first the emails were short and not daily, but gradually as our mutual interest in each other grew, we began communicating more and more. Within weeks there were one-two emails every day, text messages on Whatsap, daily phone calls and Skype on weekends. We became an important part of each others’ lives. There was an undeniable strong connection between us and even chemistry. It felt like the distance and all time zones disappear. However, despite all the excitement and joy of knowing each other, we had some difficulties that come with a long-distance romance: fears, insecurities, and doubts. But all of them were short-lived because we really cared about each others’ feelings and emotional well-being.
In April I visited Daksydog in France and we spent a fabulous week together. He proposed to me, and I accepted, and we celebrated our engagement with his friends in France. We started making plans about our future together in the USA.
In June Daksydog arrived to the USA to spend three weeks with Papillone. We got married in San Diego, Caligornia on July 2, 2016. It was a beautiful beach ceremony at sunset. My friends and family attended, too.
We are very happy and in love. We are thankful to Mingle for helping us to find each other. We want our story to inspire others, to give them hope that love stories do exist and miracles do happen. PLease keep faith in your heart and never give up.
