Why is the rate of divorce higher in the Western countries. Its quite lower in Africa, Asia and s.america. What has happened to "till death do us part". In a word, stigma I would think it is stigmatized more in Afircan culture than in western cultures where 'individual freedom' is so cherished,,,, stigma does alot to discourage behaviors socially, as lack of stigma does alot to encourage and accept behaviors,,, basically its not about the stigma aspect. I believe many Western women just foot wanna stay back and sort out issues with their men. Marriage is about fully understanding your partner before you commit so that when he starts acting funny, its not gonna be a suprise to you. Please ladies. Learn your man fully before you agree to spend the rest of your life with him. I also see the financial gains many ladies stand to gain from a divorce. Is that a factor too? I dont think we ever know anyone 'fully' because I believe people are continuing to learn and grow from their first breath to their last I dont think most women or men get divorced because they are going to 'gain' money, they would certainly have as much or more money by sticking it out,,, |

we often make the mistake of believing the whole world, or maybe just the whole country, keeps the exact same habits and interests. There are many many people who dont read the paper or watch the news. There is no reason a fair juror pool cant be gathered.

Let it go to court is also my thoughts and I think before that can happen there has to be an arrest to start the process. Unfortunately if it goes to court he wouldn't get a fair trial. Jackson and Sharpton made sure of that. I believe he would get a just trial. Jurors would have to weigh the FACTS presented in court and match them to the requirements for the indictmen,,simple. People didnt think Casey Anthony could get a fair trial, but lo and behold because the FACTS presented didnt sustain the indictment requirements,,she is a free woman. one never knows. Except in this case they have a body and a cause of death. |

Well, where are all the complaints that they are racists? You know what I think is racist? When an African American posts he or she is proud to be black. If I posted I were proud to be white, I'd be called a racist or white-supremist. We can't help what color our skin is. I'd rather be saying I am proud to be a Christian or a good mother or anti-violent or anti-racist!! Racism comes in all shades and...races. Sad, sad shame that people are still so against each other over color and race. I like to detest people on an individual basis, regarless of skin color or race. ![]() Does it just bother you when black people are proud to be black? What about any other ethnicity? what bothers me is people saying they are what they are not i am not irish-american never even been to ireland---just like most african-americans never been to africa,,,,,,,except of course obama he was born there lol if it was not for crackers slavery would still be in the soup Someone cannot be of Irish heritage without having been to Ireland? or the intolerance of hyphenated americans,,,, |

I think there is some truth to the saying 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'
I would think women have it hands down, in terms of EFFECT if they feel hurt or betrayed I think men tend to just be more desensitized, than callous,,, |

that is horrific
at the least, those families got some justice kids missing on the 7th, suspects began being arrested on the 9th and all convicted,,,,, |

why should it be hard to find someone attractive without thinking about them 'sexually'?
I have plenty of beautiful people in my family,, never thought of any of them that way, but I totally know they are beautiful inside and out,,,,, attractiveness is not AUTOMATICALLY sexual attraction,,,, |

could be a set up,,,editing is easy to do this is the same guy who was 'caught' on tape saying he didnt want to give black people money,,right? taken together ,they can be damning but they could both just be taken out of context,,, Yes MsH.....same guy.... and no editing on either as they were actual "network" newscasts. sometimes editing can be whats left out,, as much as whats taken out,,, The newscasts were live..... nothing to be taken out of context, though there was video obviously of the events in question the "live" feeds were the same...only Mr Insanity's comments changed after the fact thats true, all I usually see in the news stories or media are the 'snippets' , I havent seen the full speeches yet,,, |

I think it varys with different people but I can be just friends with men i have a few guy friends im friends with that i talk with. makes sense SOME people are incapable of seeing others outside of a sexual context ESPECIALLY if they are attracted to them SOME people take more BEFORE They begin to see someone in a sexual context than MERELY being attracted to them,,, |

The jurors said that they didn't let the fact that the roommate killed himself enter their minds. ![]() only if the gay rommmate chose not to press the above charges if he had pressed the charges though, we would be right back where we are with jurors deciding if the facts fit the legal definition of the charge,,, |

I dont agree with those particular laws,(especially in a roommate situation) but they are on the books and the case did fit the requirements in the jury's opinion, apparently

UPDATE... Parents of murdered British students criticise Barack Obama The parents of two British students murdered in Florida have criticised President Barack Obama for his lack of compassion over their sons' deaths. His failure to respond to three letters sent to the White House was because there was no "political value" and not worthy of a few minutes of his time. They spoke out as teenager Shawn Tyson began a life sentence after being found guilty of the murder of James Cooper and James Kouzaris last April. The 17 year old, who shot the men as they begged for their lives, will die in prison. His conviction of first degree murder carries an mandatory life sentence without the chance of parole. The powerfully built teen even looked bored as emotional DVD presentations about the dead men prepared by their grieving parents were shown in court. Tyson, who has the word 'Savage' tattooed across his chest didn't show a flicker of emotion, slumping in his seat as he was forced to watch a montage of photos showing the victims from early childhood to young men. Two close friends of the dead men who had attended the eight day trial in Sarasota, Florida. had also delivered highly emotional impact statements to the court prior to the sentencing. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/9173820/Parents-of-murdered-British-students-criticise-Barack-Obama.html when things become huge in media, there is a LARGER impact than when they are handled locally and JUSTLY through the court systems,,, because there is NATIONAL and ONGOING attention to the fact that the killer in the Trayvon case still WALKING FREE< and because it has affected the NATIONAL population in a possibly divisive way for a President to speak up is responsible in the case of the two brits the SYSTEM did handle it, the boy is convicted, the boy was arrested,,etc,,,there was no national divide for a President to interject himself into in that case writing a letter to a PResident doesnt guarantee he will respond,,do they realize how many people write the President? This got the Presidents attention because it GAINED NATIONAL attention as a case of a killer walking free,,also unlike the case with the two brits |
