Dating off the internet was at first almost taboo and unorthodox when the internet first hit it off. Around the time of gopher browser which was very user unfriendly, dos, and 28.8 modems, uploading pictures, or even typing on a site, along with limitations of computer specifications, and the then fairly high price of internet (new technology then), made all this very difficult. Now I would say a lot of people do different things online that they use to do off the internet. Read the news, check their stocks and stock portfolios, shop for products their local stores just don't seem to carry on ebay, amazon, half.com, etc. I'd say for eccentric high priced items I usually buy online because stores don't always have exactly what I am looking for. Not to mention society today is getting more and more complex, people are busy with family and friends, work and life, and the whole internet thing can faciliate some room for that busy life and lost time, and hence that's one reason why online dating is thriving, along with other types of ecommerce that I forementioned. Those who deny advances of science as being frivilous or silly, are no better than those who denied the earth was round, but rather flat.

Mon 11/30/09 01:11 AMWhy did Vishnu choose to use the improper tense when he stated, "Now I am become death... the destroyer of worlds"?

No idea unless he was trying to personify death.

The statement I now make is this: If a fact is something observed and repeatable and accepted as right and years down the road smaller means of observing disprove this fact, how can one differentiate between a fact if very few things are so concrete in nature?
