Well some young women are mature too
That seems to be the consensus of this thread...showing how limited of a mindset the original poster has...lol Age and maturity are not something that has to go together, there are a few younger people who are mature just like there are older people who still have not matured...lol

Kind of curious what picture I should make my profile picture
Post up the picture of you normally. If you dress more conservative then that should be the main picture. Personally I do not like the main pictures with the head cut off...lol So I would save your workout clothes one for when people actually click on your profile and have the main picture one that focuses on your face.

How do you balance your personal freedom and independence within a relationship? What should you expect or accept from your partner?
I think this is going to be an individual case by case thing as everyone is different. But I would also say this type of question might be better for couples who have been together for a long time and not a bunch of single people...lol

Anybody try it, or any of the other brands of "infused" flavored seltzers now out?
I have not tried that one but I have tried a few different ones and I have not found one that I liked. I will stick with a regular beer...

i click 'send message' and it does nothing .did i get in trouble
I think you are limited to the number of messages you can send a day, so if you sent a bunch already then you might have to wait.

The other thing is the programmers for this site are not very good, so the lower part of the screen where the reCAPTCHA thing is and on over is like a dead zone. So if the send button is in that area you will need to scroll up a little bit more to get it to work.

These all sound like songs that SHOULD be played at funerals...lol You can add in a country one, 'Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox' by Joe Diffie (1993)

I have dug up a lot of different stuff in my backyard, but it seems to be random junk...lol But my aunt bought a house when I was a kid, it had this large hillside in the back of it that we would play on. On day sliding down it we hit an old rusty metal fender. We started digging it out (as kids do) to find the complete old Model A truck that got buried. It was to far gone but cool enough for yard art.

I sew still. When I was in the military I did the upholstery work on the vehicles, some bases were just patch jobs and some you had to take it all apart to make it look better than new...lol But since I had the sewing machine at work, I was the one who altered the clothing and sewed on the patches and stripes on the uniforms for people.

I do not do much sewing any more, but when you have long legs it is hard to find shorts that actually fit right anymore. In pants I have a 36" inseam so even getting the "past your knees" shorts they are never long enough. So I buy pants and then just hem to about a 15" inseam.

As far as Renaissance Fair stuff, I have helped some friends make things like buck skin pants and stuff. There are plenty of how-to videos online. You can even make chain mail from beer can tabs...lol

suffice to say I don't LIVE on the internet..
that said, IF I'm engaging in an interesting conversation with someone online, I'll first check to see if that person is also online, if yes, I'd hope to get a fairly quick reply, if not, I'll go do something else and check back in a bit..

That online part can be tricky, I have the habit of opening multiple tabs when on here. Then I might miss closing one out when I go on to another website for something else. So it probably shows me online even when I am not. I figure I can not be the only one who does it...lol

And who knows how the phone apps work, they are probably online until you actually close them out there, even with the phone off.

For the reading the profiles part, yes I read the profiles to look at what they say (or do not say). Something thoughtful in the about section goes a long ways, but an empty profile tells me they do not want to waste their time like they are not going to be here long (scammer?) or are just too lazy, what ever.

But your question seems to have moved over to messages, which is harder. Texting is a low form of communicating, without seeing each other face to face and their reactions it is hard to know if they actually understood what you tried to tell them or did they misread it and think you said something that you did not actually say.
Another thing is that most of the people on here have past relationships, you never know what you night do or say that can bring up a bad memory for someone and they think their best option is just to exit the conversation. Good or bad, that is their choice.
Then of course there is the possibility that real life happened to them, hopefully it is something positive like they found someone and they are living happy now. But I have been on the bad end of it where I was dating a girl when I got into a bad accident and was in a coma for a month and a couple more months after that when I could get to a computer to find her email and phone number which had changed by then, she was probably not happy at me thinking that I ghosted her...lol

So all you can do is just keep going. You do not want to force a conversation onto someone, so if they are fading away then so be it and you can move on. Good Luck

To me it is about content, what are they replying. I would rather wait for something thoughtful than just a one or two word reply. To me, the short reply is more of a red flag than the time. If you right out something and they just reply with an "ok" or something then it shows me that they are not interested enough to make an effort.

This site is also a webpage for computers, not just an app for phones. Not everyone has that electric leash tied to their hand...lol. My phone is just a phone, no internet or texting. So I would be looking for someone who understands that and is not so addicted to their phone that they assume everyone else is also. But that is just me, each of us will have different ideas and what is a red flag for them...message time would not be one for me.

Good Luck

This is an easy one as it has already happened a few years ago. An ex showed up around midnight looking for a place, but I grabbed some beers and we sat on the front porch talking until almost the morning. Then she felt better and drove home. It was not really the shelter that she needed, it was to be able to talk things out...

My suggestion would to be to check out the Route 66, but that is more north than your current plans. I did the Route 66 trip from California to Oklahoma, one of those things just to say you did it.

Be careful on all the different road side foods, I was in Corpus Christi a couple years ago and driving back to Arkansas we thought the same thing and hit up a local place that was suppose to be good. My stomach is usually pretty good at handling anything, but we made a lot of gas station bathroom stops for everyone and even I only made it to the Arkansas border before I had to find a stop...lol

Why is it that some people literally assume that women here aren't serious and ask for absurd things right from the scratch?
It might be because of so many women on here that will send out messages like "Pay my phone bill and we can go on a date" or something like that...lol

wow.. you'd have been brave enough to run with the bulls??
When you are young and dumb, bravery is easy...lol

I do try and travel in the states here, the weather was bad in Arkansas here so I did a road trip with some friends up to Tulsa where the weather was better...lol Some times it is good to travel just for the hell of it, even if it is only a few hours away.

I did a little traveling when I was younger, living over seas and all. But there was things I wanted to do that I missed out on while I was there. Things like the Running of the Bulls in Spain, I wanted to participate when I was there (19/20 year old) but I think I would have to settle just watching now...lol I did not spend enough time in Denmark while I was there either...or make it down to Venice, Italy with all the waterways. That is just off the top of my head with Europe. I was there for almost three years and it did not seem like enough time to see everything.

Then when I lived in Korea I traveled around Asia there but never made it down to the Philippines or Australia like I wanted to then. I still might go one of these days but it seems like traveling now gets pushed further back on the to-do list...lol

I give 5 star review but do not get the offer that 'who like my profile'
I believe you have to pay to see that....

Marines and Navy are separate branches, although the do work together a lot.

There are suppose to be six branches of the military now, the four main ones are the Marines, Navy, Army, and Air Force. There is also the Coast Guard which is kind of a branch and now the new Space Force.

the United States Marine Corps (USMC) is part of the Department of the Navy. While they are a distinct, independent branch of the armed forces with their own command structure, the Marines fall under the civilian leadership of the Secretary of the Navy, operating closely with the U.S. Navy for logistics and transport.
Then with your logic they are all part of each other since they all fall under the Commander In Chief, the president...
