...You can go to the Bug Report section of the forums and put in another complaint about it, but I am afraid it is like no one cares that this site does not work right ...
I have complained strongly about this already. I am not sure whether the people who are supposed to fix problems are incompetent, indifferent, or overloaded. The only hope I have of these problems getting fixed is for the current owners to sell out and let someone else take it over. They MIGHT get someone who still cares about quality control and then they have a list of problems to start with... |

I didn’t see where to set up the maximum distance and I’m seeing profiles from all over the country
You use to be able to do that, but they changed it, now all you can do is just hit the X on the profiles that you do not want to see again (distance or what ever). But even that does not make them go away permanently. You can go to the Bug Report section of the forums and put in another complaint about it, but I am afraid it is like no one cares that this site does not work right... |

There has been a problem on this site for a while that when I tried to click on something, nothing happened. But I could scroll down a little more and it would be clickable. The other day I noticed it is about the same height area as the "Privacy - Terms" box is in the lower right hand corner of the screen. I even rolled over the box a few times to expand it out a little bit to see if it would go away, but it does not.
So it looks like someone messed up and made the whole lower part of the screen all the way across unclickable because of that box...and since there is no quality control before changing things it just one more thing that is messed up on this site... |

How can I limit my "Match" searches by distance, such as no more than 150 miles away from me? It seems like I used to be able to do that, but no more.
That is one of those nice things that does not work any more. Now you have to just click the X on the profiles that you do not want to see again (and even that does not work all the time). That will whittle down your list at least. |

I count myself as a mother but l haven't been in a labour room . But l got much love for my child(cat pet) cause l've been with all these three for some years and still counting . Looking forward to find a pet lover just like me here and lets get that much love to grow an actual family .
Pets are a lot easier to take care of then kids, I also am just sticking to pets from now on since my son is grown and on his own...lol |

Yeah, it is a problem that this site seems to not want to fix...many people have complained. The only thing I know to do is to just hit the X on the profiles that you do not want to see, but sometimes that does not even work...lol But it is free so you get what you pay for I guess...lol

Cant see who liked me

I thought this is free site
and now to see who has liked me - i have to pay Will have to leave then - no option left Most people put in their profile that they are on the free version so if you want to contact them then you need to send them a message, or at least nudge them. But the free version of the likes you get the blurred out image (if they have a profile pic) and you might be able to figure it out if you look at the Who Is Online part. But that is time wasted to me because it is usually a scammer...lol |

Inbox shows there are unread messages but they don't appear. So are these real messages or not?
Are you on a phone or computer? I have heard that the phone apps are limiting so if you are using a phone then maybe try it on a computer. The other suggestion is check your mail filters, maybe it is someone that you have blocked or filtered out? |

The meaning of the distance limit in the search certainly has changed since I started here in January 2025. That limit used to be a hard limit; it now is largely meaningless.
If you are on the full site or a non mobile web browser you will see under the response posters picture the date in which they joined. Txsgal joined in 2006. I have been here for a while myself and she was a mod when I joined. As she said the distance limit in search has NEVER been a hard limit in mingle2.I have been on here for a while also, I just come and go when I get tired of all the scammers. When I stopped coming here about July of 2024, the search had a hard limit because I used it. I just came back about March of this year and the limit has changed to "Prioritize Within" distance and even that does not work. I will have California profiles before profiles 10 miles from me...lol One thing that has not changed with this site though is the lack of help/customer service... |

The profile is ok, but most people skip over profiles if the main picture is not a person. Although you are actually in the picture, it is hard to see that there is a person in the picture so I would suggest swapping it with one of your other ones (personally I would go with the kayak one).
Good Luck is that better |

I think that about 90% of the profiles on here are fake, it is like they just slap it together doing quantity over quality...

I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on this. I'm 24 and recently started talking to someone who's 34. We click really well same humor, similar goals, great conversations but I'm wondering if the 10-year difference will become an issue down the line. My friends are split. Some say it's nothing, others think we might be at different life stages. He's more established in his career while I'm still figuring things out. But honestly, he doesn't make me feel immature or anything like that. I've also dated guys my age who acted like they were still 18, so maybe maturity matters more than the number? What's been your experience with age gaps? Did it work out or did you run into problems you didn't expect? At what point does the gap become too much? Looking forward to hearing your stories! As long as you just focus on the two of you and don't listen to others (even their jokes) then it will cut down on the problems. Just do what makes you happy. I have dated older and younger, it usually is not a problem until it starts to turn into a parent/child type relationship (unless that is what you are into...lol) but that can happen with any age. I know of some that the wives are my age with the husbands that are about 15 years younger that have been together for a long time now. Good Luck |

Why the African Community here isn't recognised. You want your own segregated area on this website (that does not sound good) or are you talking about your own profile getting ignored? |

To me, the money issue needs to be talked about some time before moving in together. Otherwise you can just wait until a close topic comes around, like if she talks about buying a new car or something else expensive that she says she wants but can not afford.

With the new search radius (that does not work), I just X'ed out the profiles that I did not want to see again (too far away or whatever). It takes a while but then you will have a manageable amount of profiles, which also makes it easier to see the profiles with the same pictures but different cities...lol

Search feature problems
|
|
|
The Search feature is having a couple of problems. The latest one I noticed was the "Hopped Country" part does not stay with just that extra country. I had the hopped country set as Mexico and it was putting Canada in the search as well. It should be an easy fix.
But something that I think has been going on for a longer time is profiles coming back after I click the 'X' on them. At first I just figured it was scammers with multiple profiles. But I had a profile that I had opened in a separate window to view the profile. I clicked the 'X' on it and then went to the next page where I seen the same profile picture. I thought I would open it up in its own window so I could see if it was any different that the other one I had just X'ed. Everything was the same, like a scammer was copy and pasting it...but then I looked at the web address line...it was the same. This was not a multiple profile but a profile that should have been removed from the search that was not. There are a bunch of reoccurring profile pics that I have seen, which I just figured was scammers but now I am wondering how many of those are glitches from bad programming on the website. |

Age is Just A Number

When, in the paleolithic, I was working for a living, somebody said "there are people with 20 years of experience and people who have one year of experience, repeated 20 times." I think I had a marriage like that. We were both military so it was like one of us was always out of the country for long stretches of time...lol |

Age is just a number, it does not mean that a person has actually matured to that level. Then you have a few young ones who seem to have matured too fast (talking about there mental state). But that does not mean that an immature old person should be in a relationship with a matured young person, there is just too much differences with their experiences and the life they have lived.
So I will still agree to a point that age is just a number, but it is a number that I use +/- 10 years of my number (and I use their actual number and not the one they were told they might look like in a dimly lit bar...lol) |

Asia or Europe

I spent 2.5 years in Germany and a year in Korea, traveled around from there visiting other countries and I liked the cultures. When I was younger, I thought about moving back to one or the other (more so back to Korea). But after settling down in the states I have too many roots here now to move again.
But if I did have to move and those were my only two options then I would probably go with Asia. |
