So do you know what song he is suppose to sing? I had not planned on watching it but I might just to see all the people getting so butt hurt over an act...lol

I feel an aloof comment is too banal.. I prefer engagement.. ask questions.. just not "what's your phone number?" or "can I have your email?"

ask what I do for fun, or if I have a favorite....(insert query.. and not "position" whoa )

so my suggestion to men is.. engage in a conversation that requires responses

Because 99% of the messages I get on here seem to be scammers, I do not want to put too much time in the response. I do try and ask a question that might seem off the wall just to see if they are a real person.

kidding aside.. I'd suggest getting involved in your actual community (where you live).. volunteer (if you're not doing those already).. do things that get you out of the house to meet new people.. who knows.. you might have some fun.. drinker

This is so true, get out and do something even if it is just to stroll around the neighborhood for exercise. You may nor meet a romantic partner, but you might make a good friend and you are out doing something rather that just waiting to find someone...

I thought I would ask in here about places to visit in Detroit, downtown area this summer. I know it is months away but this state topic looks dead so it might take a while for responses...lol

I doubt I will watch the full show, but I might catch the highlights. Green Day is suppose to do the opening ceremony so that might be good. But they are having Bad Bunny do the half time so that does not seem like something I would want to watch...

I'm not able to send message. I tried to click on sending button but It wasn't click. How can i fix this.
Did you already send out some messages before? I think there is a limit until you get responses.

I will go on solo trips, no since in not going somewhere just because no one else wants to go at the time. But I do think it is better to share the experience with someone else. There might be something that you pass by that they want to try out, then you find that it was better than you expected so you are happy that you did it.

But I guess it would depends on the other person, if they are always negative then it would ruin the trip also.

Are nudges meaningful
Nudges are basically the same level as a like, but if the person is a free user then they can actually see who nudged them. The Likes are usually blurred out and just a letter or two of their name.

Men are not the only ones with pictures of their ex in their profile picture...lol There are a bunch of the women who have that as well. Some of them do not even crop out the ex, or cover the face or anything. Those are the weird vibe ones, almost like they are looking for someone to join their couple but the profile says they are single...lol

The camera on phones are handy for things like fine print, I have seen people do that in stores. They will take a picture of the labels and then zoom in to read it...lol

My name is Hope and I am a single mom of my daughter Abby who is 7. Every time I find a guy I like and we've been talking a while he ghosts me after I mention Abby. I'm not looking for a sugar daddy, I'm independent and can provide for myself and daughter. Just here to find someone to maybe go out and do things with. Any advice?

There are a lot of weirdos out there, but I would not shy away from mentioning that you have a kid right in the beginning...that can help weed out the fly-by-night guys...lol
There are guys out there that like the pre-made family idea. I dated a girl with two kids, moved them all in with me but after 4 years it was only the kids that I miss when she had to go.

I'm less and less surprised by new "fads" these days.. but phone flexing? really?? noway do you need a safe word instead of a password?? rofl

I'm not a phone person.. still have my land line however my eldest freaks out when she can't reach me so she got me one, just to keep tabs on me.. call me old fashioned (or simply OLD laugh ) but the way I look at it is, if I don't answer the house phone? leave a message.. I'll get back to you when I can.. besides, I'm probably just outside shoveling or mowing the lawn laugh
I do not get the phones as a show off thing either, to me it is just an electric leash. People think it is weird that I have texting blocked on my phone, but I think it is weird to not use a phone as a phone...lol But I guess it is comparable to guys who need to have a Rolex watch instead of a Timex...lol

Yeah, that is why I thought it was weird, a lot of photos have the phone in the picture...especially the full body shots in a mirror. But I think they meant the closer stuff like just head shots. That is why I thought I would ask here, maybe I was missing something...lol

Phones have had a front and rear camera for a long time now, even my old flip phones years ago (simpler life) had them.

One other think I just thought of was maybe it was just started by someone who was envious of the nicer phones because they really want one to show off like that...lol

I halfway read an article on facebook about phone flexing, showing off your phone in photos. At first I thought it was dumb, but I am not into phones and just scanning through the search section on here there are a lot of profiles that have their phone in the pictures.
So just to get a conversation going, do you really think that phone flexing is a thing or is it more likely that something is wrong with their phone (including user error)?...lol

Not that inexpensive, plus having just 1 leaves a lot of blindspots.
Also, cameras run on electricity so they won't help in case there would be a blackout.
Normally speaking they could be great.

Over here you'd need to have a sign up that you got camera surveillance. A sticker in the window or something. Not allowed to use cameras without that.
Typical Dutch, you have to warn bad guys that you're protecting yourself.
They make solar cameras, and cameras with a battery back up in case of blackouts. I have even seen people use the hunting cameras, they have their own batteries and will send pictures to your phone (depending on which one you get).

But then there is also people who just put up the camera sign without the cameras to scare off a few...lol

Why does the Mingles2 app on my phone only show a fraction of the likes and messages that the website does? About 10%.

It is like that with facebook and most other apps also. Apps and lite versions of the website because your phone can not handle all these websites at the full version.

Does a green dot mean someone is online or was online?

I don't know and am currently trying to find out as well.... I don't see where to find out definitely what this means.,.
Look under Search -> Who's Online
They all have green dots by their name showing that they are online...

In this swipe world, a better main photo will help. I think people ignore profiles with hard to see profile pics (I do at least).

If you are looking for a deeper relationship then I would say you might have better luck with more in the about section, give them something more to read and be interested in.

Good Luck

I remember when they used to have those little loops on the back of shirts. Never figured out what they were for. Folks used to call them fruit loops.
That was one of the names...lol.
They were to hang the shirt up on a hook so it did not get wrinkled. Some of the t-shirt tags would loop like that for the same reason, to have a hidden loop.

It bothers me when I'm following a stranger and there's a label sticking out from the back of their collar. I don't need to know how their clothes should be washed or what size they are! I just find it hard to resist the compulsion to tuck the label back where it belongs i.e. out of sight.

You bringing up the tag sticking out reminded me that people use to have a little rhyming name for that which I guess you can not say any more...so what is it suppose to be called now days?...lol
I usually cut mine out of my shirts anyways...

it's not showing now a days

It is still there. When you click on the Mail, then there is a few lines of buttons near the top. One of them has "Inbox" "Nudge" "Mail Settings" "Blocked Users" "Filters"
