UPS dropping spouses from healthcare

http://www.businessinsider.com/ups-dropping-spouses-health-coverage-2013-8

Explain that to us Mortman.
I'm sorry, but you cannot read the article? UPS's policy change is that spouses who can be covered by their own employers will no longer be covered by UPS. If those same employees of UPS want their spouses covered, they'll now have to pay the difference. Other spouses who are not covered by a separate employer are left unaffected by the new policy.

Yes I read it, it's called comprehension of what you are reading not just picking bits and pieces.
Oh but what would we know about reading something in its enitierty because it wasn't done with the ACA and thus all these unintended consicuences.
So it's going to cost the family more because they will have to pay for separate single health plans instead of a family plan.
And what was their reasoning for doing this?

paying people 1.50 more is gonna do all that?

Where do you get 1.50 more?
The fast food workers are wanting 15.00/hr
That's double the 7.50/hr they are making now.
If you raise their pay 7.50/hr to 15/hr do you then also raise the pay of those making 15/hr to 22.50/hr and so on and so forth?

things will change when kids start bringing lunch instead of buying it at school

I just read somewhere that some schools are losing money because the students aren't eatig the lunch because they do t like it or it isn't enough and are bringing their own lunches.

Another fact swept under the rug.
His, I have a dream speech was a stolen work.

He is not the author.

It did work better for him than It did for the author.

It saddens me to see so much bitterness in a human's heart, that the human can't acknowledge the positive outcome of a monumental event in history.

What positive outcome. The speakers politicizing the monumental event?

Why didn't this make the liberal MSM networks?

maybe msm has to worry enough about legal accountability to check their facts and how they present them,,,,

http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2013/apr/15/george-will/wisconsin-dpi-urged-white-students-wear-white-priv/

Will said DPI "urged white students to wear white wristbands ’as a reminder about your (white) privilege.’"

DPI was responsible for a flier given to 13 federally paid workers that suggests white people consider wearing the white wristbands. But there is no evidence that DPI took any steps to urge students to wear the wristbands.

We rate Will’s claim Mostly False.

13 federal employees, ,,,,haaaaaaa

oh the inhumanity,,,laugh laugh laugh laugh

Mostly false?
That means its true.
That's why I hate politifact. It's either true or false.
When DPI was confronted about it, it was taken off their website.
If no one saw this and questioned it how far would it have gone?

registration already requires id

voting is a right , once one is registered, they should not have to continue presenting id if they have a voting card,,,,

Not all states are the same. They don't issue voting cards.
What's the difference if you have to show ID to register then your ID is your "voter card"

In WI we don't have voter cards. I showed ID when I registered at my precinct. Now all I do is walk in and tell them my name, they find it in their books mark me off and I sign. No ID no voter card nothing.

the difference is voting shouldn't have to have a continual COST,, its a right

if voting ids are going be given FREE OF CHARGE upon registration, that is one thing

if people are going to be asked to repeatedly go through expense and travel of traveling and paying for state ids or drivers licenses, which have expiration dates,,,,and charges attached

I say that's a classist and bs way of obstructing what is supposed to be RIGHT regardless of financial status,,,,,

A WI state ID costs $28.00 it is good for 8 years before needing to be renewed.
That's a Whopping $3.50 a year.
And in the voter ID bill in WI residence can get them for free if they tell them it's for voting.
Oh and if you want to add the cost of going to get one. Lets say it takes your car oh wait if you had a car you would have a DL. So a friend drives you. Say it takes 2 gallons if gas (with oh say an average of 18 mpg) that would give about 36 miles. At $3.80/gal that's $7.60 over an 8 year span that's 95 cents a year.
So $4.45 a year could probably be found in the couch cushions. I really don't see it being an inconvenience.

Will the real Hanna Montana please stand up. Or should I say bend over?
Pure disgrace. I can't believe I used to watch her show with my girls. Now I pray my girls never see her.

Two little boys, ages 8 and 6, are excessively mischievous.
They are always getting into trouble and their parents
know if any mischief occurs in their town,
the two boys are probably involved.

The boys' mother heard that a preacher in town
had been successful in disciplining children,
so she asked if he would speak with her boys.
The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually.

The mother sent the 6 year old in the morning,
with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon.
The preacher, a huge man with a deep booming voice,
sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly,
"Do you know where God is, son?"

The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response,
sitting there wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open.
So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone,
"Where is God?!
Again, the boy made no attempt to answer.
The preacher raised his voice even more and shook his finger
in the boy's face and bellowed,
"WHERE IS GOD?!"

The boy screamed & bolted from the room,
ran directly home & dove into his closet,
slamming the door behind him.
When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked,
"What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied,
"We are in BIG trouble this time!"
"GOD is missing, and they think WE did it!"

The pictures that compare George Bush to Chimpanzees I just refeenced were posted on Bush or Chimp and Smirking Chimp in October of 2005......Nice try, though!!!

Even if the masks were NOT while he was President, he was a public figure way before that anyways. When a person decided to run for a Political Office and even more so, if they win, "Public Figure" status is automatically afforded that individual. Obama was both a Senator from Illinois and furthermore, an Illinois Congressman before that. Stop making excuses for the double-standard!!!

there is no double standard,, being a 'public figure' isn't the same as being the president who heads the administration that is FUNDING AN EVENT,,,,

If it was a STATE sponsored event the the president had nothing to do with the funding of it.

So when is someone gonna get riled up over the Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan masks?

when someone suggests a bull running them down at a STATE SPONSORED EVENT,, DURIMG THEIR PRESIDENCY,,,,Perhaps,,,,lol

You mean like they did to Bush in '94? Funny, no one screamed the race card or threatened anyone then.....

but then Bush wasn't black, or Dumbocrap, or mired in scandal, or killing and spying on EVERY American, persecuting whistleblowers, arming our enemies or drug cartels, or using the IRS as his personal goon squad...

again, BUSH wasnt sitting president in 1994

bush jr was 2001/2009 and bush sr was, BUSH SR was 1989-1993

so if the rodeo clown would have waited till 2015 to do it then it would have been ok?

when they were in deliberations, they asked the judge to clarify the charge,,which she didn't because the question wasn't specific enough

huh And you know this how?

I watched the trial,,,,,

Then you would also know that both lawyers wrote explaining to the jurers that they needs to be more specific and the judge gave that letter to the jurors.

that is what I said, the judge didn't answer because the question wasn't specific enough

Well then Did the jurors give a more specific question that was answered?
I'm sure they knew what the definition of manslaughter was before they made their decision.

The only thing Zimmerman is guilty of is not being black.
How many black teens have been murdered by other blacks?
Where is the outrage for them?

this has been explained, over and over and over again

perhaps because you are not part of a black family, or black community , you are unaware of reality

the reality is there is OUTRAGE all year long in black communities about crime,,and people in those communities are all year long trying to implement programs and procedures to reduce those numbers

the reality is the OUTRAGE in this case wasnt about the fact that 'another black teen' is dead,, but the fact that NOTHING Was being done about his death

in those 'black on black' teens cases,, that is rarely if ever an issue,, you can pretty much GUARANTEE the law will prosecute those teens who kill each other,,,

I live in a predominantly black community and work there also.
But I guess not being black "excludes" me from understanding SMH
There are many that don't end up with a conviction.
I never see rallies or protests for anything locally.
The reason this is an issue is because Sarpton saw an opportunity to make a race issue out of it.
I was even threatoned at work on Monday because of the verdict.
I'm still trying to figure that out. A Hispanic murders a black and let's blame and threaton the white man.
