Do you honestly believe that Democrats sanctioned this whole mess and that Trump is just going along with what these Democrats tell him to do? Bullshyt. All this mess was brought on by Don the con himself. Instead of catch and release, he wanted them detained. The next thing you know he orders kids separated from there families. It was HIS decision to detain and to separate.

He can hoot, Obama this, and Obama that, It matters absolutely ZERO what Obama did or didn't do during his time. What matters is the here and now. All this mess falls under Trump's poor decision making. Nobody can be blamed for this mess but Trump. He brought it on, he ordered it and it's still going on today. No matter what order he signed. It's going on, right now under his watch.

It may take 2 years to identify thousands of migrant children separated from families

"As the Trump administration works to address what it describes as a growing "crisis" at the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said in a court filing that it may take two years for the government to identify thousands of migrant children who were separated from their families.

The filing Friday outlined the government's plan to use data analysis and manual reviews to sift through the cases of about 47,000 children who were apprehended by U.S. immigration officials from July 1, 2017, to June 25, 2018, to identify which children might have been taken from family members. It estimated the process "would take at least 12 months, and possibly up to 24 months".
