Having been born and raised in Germany, I have to favor Dr. Ruth. Plus Dr. Phil is a douchebag.

Strive for perfection at work.

Was married to a "perfect person" for 29 yrs, so now I don't worry so much about the small stuff.

Why don't we make the u.s. ranchers unregulated instead, so that they can compete with foreigners.

They can compete by using same chemicals that foreign farmers use.

This situation is not normal. Local production will always outbid the remote production, because of the cost of transport (everything else being equal).

As to the beef that was produced without government oversight, we can leave a choice of using it or not to a consumer.

If it is true, that for instance, a DDT-free beef is better, than it means, that a DDT-Free beef should be able to be sold for more. Right?

If such a beef is easier to sell for a higher price, then there is the competitive advantage right away, - in producing a good and healthy beef.

May-be the fact that a foreign, contaminated beef sells as good as local, uncontaminated beef, even competing with it in price, means that the public really doesn't care all that much about the contamination?

Every thing you said is true, but the problem is our goverments regulations which force out producers to follow certain rules. The goverment puts these rules in effect to protect us, but then allows other countries to ship in a product that was not produced by the same rules.

"I'm from the goverment and I'm here to help"noway sick tears

Howdy from Texas. I'm Mark, I have two sons, one daughter in law and one grandson (that owns me). That is his picture on my photo.

I have met a super lady and we are getting married this fall, but I enjoy reading the forums here and hope to make some friends.
