Yes, to the absolute best of my ability. It's not a matter of OCD, it's just a normal, natural occurance. If I'm not gonna do it right, I won't do it at all. I hate doing anything half-assed. It bugs me.

Yup, and I have to work really, really hard at not being so hard on myself because I'm not perfect, don't need to be and never will be anyway.

At work, I'm completely OCD. My job has to have perfection or someone is going to be over budget and come for my head. Everything has a specific place, papers are straightened, nothing out of kilter. I take great pride in what I do and how I do it. In order to be efficient at my job, I have to be organized. I have over 2000-5000 sheets of paper that cross my desk in a day. If I wasn't organized, there would be complete chaos.
At home, for the most part everything is organized. No, I don't put my kitchen cabinets in alphabetical order, but they are group with like items. My space is nearly always tidy and ordered. In creative areas... I'm my own worst enemy. I have a hard time letting something go without it being what I think of as perfect. My creative work areas are ... well, they are a completely different matter. They are fairly crazy. I can't be creative in an organized space. When I'm painting, there is usually various bottles and brushes here, there and everywhere. When I'm writing or sketching, pages here and there some crumpled, some clean, some scribbled on. And sewing... yeah, it's a mad house! |

I am a lazy perfectionist when it comes to work, school and my son. Otherwise with home stuff, I could can less if things are perfect and in order (besides the occassional maniac cleaning spree).

Yes I tend to be a perfectionist. But have learned to relax more about things. Not everyone has the same set of standards and values. Mine are pretty high....or now at least they have some give and tolerence to them.

Are you a perfectionist in your work? in general or with yourself? ![]() We are sons of perfection and therefore should aspire to be PERFECT! I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence I can reach for; perfection is God's business..... ![]() |
