I decided to take "Improv 101" classes here in NY. Figured it would be
something fun to do. Turns out, its a "team sport", much more like
Hockey than anything else. For one, its not "Stand-Up Comedy", instead
you get 4 ppl on stage, take an idea and instantly make up stories and
themes off that idea. Each person takes turns progressing the "theme"
and setting up the next person to take it further.

Thats where it gets more like hockey - you "set up" passes and you have
to "handle a pass" when it comes. Nothing's 'pre-planned', but just like
hockey, there is alot of strategy, practice and tactics. Nothing really
focuses on "funny", that comes out naturally, but, you have to learn
timing and how to handle/give "passes" of lines.

I was really suprised, and so far have been enjoying it. Interesting mix
of people, from early 20s to mid-40s, and slightly more women then men
(gotta love that part). I want to overcome shyness, and I think this
will do nicely.

Raw Horsemeat.

I ate it before knowing what it was (I was in Japan). After eating it,
and liking it (tastes like the best roast beef you ever had), I asked.
The table was filled with knowing-giggles, then outright laughter. Then
they told me.

I replied "is there more?"

'Then he created Eve and said, "Some days I just amaze Myself."'

How true! Then the angels saw Eve and said "Hey, I want some of THAT!"
and raped women of the earth - their offspring became the Nephalim who
spread through the lands causing great problems [Genesis 4, and the Book
of Enoch]. To remedy THIS problem God flooded the earth saving Noah and
his family - the last uncorrupted branch of humanity. God then said he
was sorry he made THEM - the ANGELS, not humanity.

Think I'm crazy? Flip ahead to the end of the Bible - read what Jesus
said and Paul wrote about the angels being bound up, their sins, and the
off-the-wall commentary in Paul ("...women keep your heads covered, dont
you remember the lust of the angels?")

I made the horrible mistake of dating a Pentecostal Evangelist. I
thought it would be fun. Ya know, lively thought provoking debates on
meaty-ideas.

Wrong.

Still, I thought it would be fun to marry her too.

Wrong.

So, here I sit divorced being labeled as "satan possessed",
"non-beleiver", by her AND her church-group. Yes, the church group made
a 'group' decision that an "un-even yoke" was a problem for her
spiritual path. It's all become a weird-culty-ness that is impossible to
rationalize.

I'm currently taking applications for a new GF, and I'm an
equal-oppurtunity guy: Hindu, Jewish, Wiccan, and Catholics are
encourage to apply. Born-again, and Clueless Secuarlists need not apply.

"From reading Genesis he created a lot of stuff and saw that it was
good. Then he created Adam but didn't make the remark that this was
good. Thoughts?"

Ah you teased by giving only part of the story. When God finished with
creating man on the 6th day, he said something DIFFERENT:

GENESIS 1:31 "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it
was VERY good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."

Is there a way to list all posts by a person? It would be cool to see
all the ideas that someone's presented and browse them.

Also, is there a way to list all of my posts so that I can jump to them
and read/respond to any replies?

If not, that would be a nice thing to add to JSH.

We're all entitled to a "good day" right?
I'm a consultant, and as a consultant I dont get paid on a regular
basis. I submit timesheets, the client signs them and it goes through
their accounting department, then through managers for approval, and
eventually a check is written to my company. Then I deposit, call in my
own payroll, and eventually I get real dollars. From start to finish,
its about 4 weeks. This particular client has a "twice a month" policy,
meaning they only pay 2x a month, and if your paperwork isnt in the
right place at the right time, you have to wait until the next
pay-period. Tough noogies.

I've been working alot of overtime & weekends the last few weeks. So
much that I totally forgot to submit my timesheets. Plain old forgot. I
realized on Easter Sunday, that because I forgot, that I wouldn't get
any pay until the end of April (missing the timeslot for the processing
to happen for April 15th). Worse, I had about $200 to last me till the
end of the month. OUCH! OUCH! I begged the client/boss to "let it slide
- just this once please". He understood, but, since it required several
departments, it wasnt likely to happen. OUCH.

As of midnight Tuesday I was down to $47 left to my name. I woke up this
morning with a sick feeling in my stomach. On the way to work my brother
called me and asked if I could swing by his house on the way to work (it
was nearby). He often asked me to do this when he needed to load some
junk into his car before work. Sure - why not. When I got there, he
handed me the $500 he borrowed. I didnt know it was coming, and
honestly, didnt expect to SEE that $500! He saved the day.

I got to work, and my boss pulled me aside, "hey Mike, I know you been
busting your azz with the project, so I was able to get your invoice
slipped through - here ya go". Wow. Cool!

When I got to my little cube'o'corporate-heaven, the head of Accounting
came over. "Mike - oh, good you are here. Listen about that check,
listen, I'm really sorry, and I dont know how to tell you this, but...",

I'm thinking 'Oh sh1t, here it comes - she's going to need it BACK?!
OUCH!'

"...well, when I checked your invoices, and I made a terrible mistake
last month. See, I printed your checks last month, and you were out that
day, so I put them in my desk drawer, and, I forgot to give them to you.
Here they are, and I'm really really sorry"

HOLY SH1T! I just got THREE paychecks and $500. I went from being so
miserably stressed to elation and relief.

If every day were sunny, there'd be no roses.
If there were no storms, there'd be no rivers.

If there was no difficulty, love wouldn't be so strong.

Honestly? Give consideration to what you mean by "opening up". It could
be that the way you are perceived is more like "dumping upon". As the
cliche goes "its not what you say, its how you say it".

Give us an example scenario.

"...morals and core value's dimminishing"

I would disagree. If you beleive that there will be a 2nd coming, then
you have to agree that the world is moving towards a 'better place' -
the 'new jerusalem' is the ultimate destination.

There is no "End Days". The book of Revelation already came to pass.
John, who wrote "Revelation" later wrote the letters John 1,2 and 3. And
in John3 he writes "...the Antichrist walks the EARTH NOW", and mentions
that same phrase several times.

Creation never ceased. Nor will it cease.

Nope. Trust isnt important to a relationship - at all. Neither is
honesty, communication or any of that "warm-n-fuzzy" stuff. Why? Without
any of that stuff you dont have a relationship. How about "the bare
minimum to human co-existance requires trust, communication etc"

I would consider "the one I love" as equal to "the one who loves me",
and would choose some other measure. For example, I may choose the
person who is younger to live (as a matter of why kill a 20yr old
instead of a 40yr old? - all else being equal). I could be moved to
decide based on dependents - if the 40yr old has five ppl who
desperately need them rather than a 20yr old, then I could be persuaded
that way too.

But, lets be real. It also comes down to basic manliness. Sure, we're
all shy to say it, but whichever choice will result in better chances of
noogie will win. (it really is that simple aint it?)

Squire: Thanks. Thats what I'm planning to do, hoping to make a mix of
business & relaxtion.

Sushi: Nah, you'd be suprised how many countries would prefer their own
currency. In fact, I've only been to one country that would rather take
US than their local currency. Even Canada will begrudgingly accept US
currency when you're near the border.

Me and this girl were driving home one night from a party. It was late,
like 3am, busy inner-city road (we were 100% sober - it was a family
party event). A guy walked out into the middle of the road and fell
down. She freaked out thinking he died.

We pull over, run over, and he's all bloodied. It was clear to me he had
been hurt several times before. Puke and blood all over himself. He was
incoherent, and we dragged him off the road. He started crying. He
started crying about his children. We comforted him. Then he got nasty,
lunged at me, and then stumbled back out into the street - and laid down
again asking to be run over.

Again, we dragged him back. Again he protested. Again we dragged him
back. She went to call the cops, and when he realized she was calling
the police he ran off down a side alley.

Can someone tell me what the requirements are for opening a bank account
in Canada? I'm a US citizen, and goto Montreal often enough that I think
I'm going to try for a job there. Next visit, I'm going to open a bank
account - what stuff do I need?

Seriously, salt water. It works great, its nearly free, and stings, but
does the trick. There's even a special kettle to pour it (looks like a
long thin ornate tea-kettle) - but you dont need to go that far. Use an
empty sinus-squirter, or a children's "booger-sucker".

I recommend using sea-salt, maybe a teaspoon (less until you get used to
it), in a cup worth of warm water. Squirt it into your nostrils - let it
soak it. The first couple times you'll hate it. But it will instantly
work, and be chemical free.
