See I'm a nice guy at least I think I am I get a lot of great compliments on my behavior, However I also come across as an asshole well cause I don't like to put up with bull****. I'm very picky cause well I'm ready to settle down and I'm not going to settle for just anything I want "my idea of perfect" but am I being too picky?  True to a point no one is perfect, but they can be perfect in your eyes.  it's all a matter of finding that one person who thinks your howling in the shower is cute? Is that what you're saying?

Whatever your idea of perfect, it goes for you too....eventually we want to love a person, not an idea of a person....the reality is relationships need to be watered to grow....Are you willing to put forth the effort?

What I hear all the time is "You're the first guy who ever really took the time to listen to me and care about what I have to say." I don't see that as being nice; it's more just a sort of overall interest in people, their lives, and their perspectives.
Inevitably, though, shortly thereafter, she hauls out the steering wheel and says, "Let's just attach this to you and we can get started on our relationship," which translates to "I am going to domesticate you now." Uh, no. There's nice and then there's doormat. I've known a lot of people who can't tell the difference. I figure you just have to be who you are; if people don't like it, then they weren't going to do you any good anyway. Pretending to be someone/something you're not, would just prolong the mirage....sooner or later, it would come out. |

ok, yes be yourself. But the only problem is most guys naturally try to hard to impress a woman or gain her approval. You will never win her attraction by being nice. Attraction derives from animal instincts and isn't controlled through nice gestures and speach. So yea, be yourself, but for the nice guys, stop being so darned concerned about what she thinks. Be yourself no matter what. In fact it is better for you not to even be concerned about whether or not she likes you. And oh yea, another classic bad move... Women are very sublte with their signals. You have to read into their actions and bodylanguage as well as what they say. When you interpret a signal that implies her interest in you don't necessarily jump all over it. TAKE YOUR TIME.
Ok, so yeah, i guess my answer to all this is be a little of all of the above. Just don't get carried away with any part of it. This includes the whole affectionate/nice part. Gotta stay a little well rounded bros. |
