i did smash my thumb with my hammer.(would you say anything out-loud, knowing children and others were around??) or, would you suck it up--and not say a word??

I've had to hold that kind of thing in. Not a hammer, but hitting my head on the ceiling of a steel & concrete safe at the bank I worked at, with customers, coworkers and auditors around. Had to suck it up!!

My automatic reaction is to say "Matt Damon" in a really loud voice. I have no idea why..

I've done it, and tore half of the meat off my thumb. I think I gasped a cpl times, but wasn't going to cry in front of a room full of men.

Sharks, Razzle Frazzle, bar steward,and similar words come to mind put a towel in the mouth and yell as hard as you can then stick the thumb in ice
