Do people who use sign language see little hands in their head when they think about what somebody said, or do they hear the words in their head?

I dated a deaf girl when I was a teenager. I still remember the alphabet and about three other signs but that's about it.

On a similar note I always wondered about those signs in Braille, e.g., near an elevator or a door. How do they know to reach there and feel? They can't see it. How would they know it was there?

I did too when I lived in Colorado. I almost went to the interpreters program at FFRC, but the ex wife said she would only support me for 1 yr of school, so I got my LPN instead.

They know where the braille is supposed to be in public places, my friend who is blind keeps touching my forehead with his finger tips trying to read my mind. It's funny every time he does it.laugh

I have a deaf brother,,,,,He could tell you a joke in sign language and have you LYAO,,,even if you did'nt know sign!!!!!!!!! He's lived in Austin TX forever,,,,,,They have a huge Community of Deaf people there!!!!!!!! We use to call him deaf-ass or pooky when we were little laugh In the summer time back in the day he would hustle people by handing out sign language alphabet cards at the local mall's,,,,when he got enough money, he would buy us all beer and pot,,,,and food,,,,,,it was nice to have a brother like that growing up!!!!!!! laugh
