It seems all my friends are getting married or having kids; I'm starting to get jealous.
Anyone else see their friends, family or people the same age getting on with their lives and wonder "why have none of these things happened to me yet?"

It seems all my friends are getting married or having kids; I'm starting to get jealous. Anyone else see their friends, family or people the same age getting on with their lives and wonder "why have none of these things happened to me yet?" i get extremly upset when friends have babies, not so much because im jealous, its because i see how happy they are, and i know that might never happen for me.

sure pete, it's only natural to feel that way. I have a friend getting married in October. She got divorced a few months after me...She concentrated on finding someone and I concentrated more on my career and family.
Our time will come!  I know it will!

yes, my sisters getting married in a couple months. she's 7 years younger than me.

talk to some people who have been married for a long time. They will usually make you glad that you are single. Oh sure, I've seen enough people make mistakes that I'm glad I haven't. I used to be incredibly cynical about marriage, but I have seen proof that it CAN work. |

Out of all of my friends that I graduated college with...I am the only one who is not married and does not have children...I am okay with it for right now...I always have my career....lol
