Okay, first of all I'm not one to ask for prayers. I want you all to read this note. Yes this is and e-mail it is not I repeat not from this site.
This is from a game site I play on and have for over 5 years this lady I meet while playing one of the games a few years ago. She gives several of her friends she has meet a up date ever so often she has been battling CANCER for several years. This is not one that pity seeks attention due to her disease. She is a grandmother and even through all this she has been raising some of her grandchildren which she refuses to give that duty up. If just for a moment take the time to read and realize in this world there are others that battle everyday for their lives but still stay up beat regardless of what they are going through. To many here forget how precious life is and take it all for granted. ************************************ Hi everyone! thought I would write a note and tell everyone that my blood work last week was reaaly good. My cancer cells had got up to over 200 in my body with the old chemo and they were going to quit because of the side effects and I told them they could not quit and let me die. They started the last chemo they could give me and it had terrible side effects the first time so they were going to quit and call in hospice i told them they could not quit and let me die. Now it has come down to 68 cancer cells in my body I was so excited I cried. The doctor was amazed. I know what it was and you do to it was all these prayers yall keep sending up for me thank you and PLEASE keep it up. This chemo does not have as bad of side effects as the other chemo had I am not as sick as I was with the other chemo but I sleep alot which I guess is good because i dont feel as much pain. The doctor has given me the pain patch which is really good and I am not in as much pain as I was in but now I have a problem going to the bathroom. My family worries that I am wasting away I have gone from a size 50 to a size 12. The chemo is spliting my hands open real bad but bandaids take care of that it looks like I have cut my fingers with a knife real deep and they are real sore. the doctor just says keep plenty of lotion on them and I do. All in all I am excited about the chemo working and can deal with the little things and am hoping that my time will be longer than the doctors keep telling me. I see those that seem to think the world revolves around them and don't even think that others have it much worse. Here is a lady my heart truly goes out to! She always has a kind word to say, never lets life get her down, lives each day as it was her last for she knows it could be. But still no matter the pain or heartaches she goes through she refuses to give up! These are the ones that make this world go around and makes you see what you are truly blessed with if you take the time to notice what you have instead of complain what you don't have. Do you really know how precious life is? |

It is nice to see this. We always hear about big time heroes and it's great to see a regular person being heroic and fighting that fight. I wish her all the best, and also to all of us who have to fight our battles in our own little worlds.

well my aunt had cancer, and she gave up and died shortly after, i dont think any less of her for not fighting it, i didnt feel her pain,so im not one to comment and neither is anyone else unless they were in my aunts shoes. some can cope with it, others cant, thats human life.

She does not let her illness bring her down. Matter of fact the subject does not take over the whole conversation. Sure she speaks of it and then throws in jokes to keep it all light hearted. All I know it sure makes me realize how lucky I'm to have what I do have.

They don't think that their harsh words could be the very last spoken. They are so wrapped up in life's problems and themselves that they fail to see the big picture. They don't think that their harsh words could be the very last spoken. They are so wrapped up in life's problems and themselves that they fail to see the big picture. They fail to see how precious their time on Earth is. Thank you for a nice post. Thank you for your response we all need to look around at what we have in life. For no matter how bad we have it we should still be grateful for what we do have. You see material things are great to have but life is so precious and at times we take what we do have for granted. |

I thank the Lord EVERY day for the beautiful things in life he has given me, too many people worry about what they DONT have instead of rejoycing in what the have been Blessed with, LIFE!!!!!

I think sometimes we all take too much for granted. I know how precious life is, most all of my family are gone now. My dad passed away due to cancer. In the last days i told him, daddy don't give up...He said i'm not giving up son, i just know when i'm beat. A couple days later i held his hand as he fought for his last breath. So yes, i'm very aware how precious the gift of life is. My heart goes out to all those who battle this dreadful disease, for those who are too weak to fight it, and to those who fight against all odds. |

Ohh how true we should all step back at times and look at what we do have before us. I know we all have lost loved ones from time to time but...even with that it is not what we have lost but......what we still have before us now the ones we can share a smile or a hug with and tell them we love them.

You know I thought I realized how precious life was until 2am this morning when I was awoke by my son.
His best friend he grew up with is a Mechanic was working on a vehicle yesterday and it blew up in his face. He has worse then 3rd degree burns on his face and upper body and many deep cuts. At this time he is on Life Support hanging by a thread. Only 27 years old with his first child on the way. I have had a harsh reality of how precious Life really is!! God Bless You all! Be thankful for what you have before you! Don't forget how PRECIOUS LIFE REALLY IS!!

Be thankful for what you have before you! Don't forget how PRECIOUS LIFE REALLY IS!! I do know how precious life is. A year ago today someone threw a half of stick of dynamite as my oldest child was walking down the street. it blew him out of his shoes and a block down the street burns over 40% off his body through the grace of the Divine One and the help of an excellent burn unit he is still with me He is scarred for the rest of his life, but he is still here Be thankful for every day that you are able to rise and get out of your bed |
