Atheist is not believing...and if you want to get in depth what is a religion? I believe in myself, does that make me some sort of religion?

On topic, no...but then again I don't vote.

If a candidate has a religion, no, it is not an issue unless they bring it to work with them and then I will have an issue with it.

It's relevant because the right panders to religious Christians by slamming gay marriage (and other so called "moral" issues) while they take wide stances in airport bathrooms. Hippocracy at its worst.

Does the religion of a candidate have an effect on your vote ?.

No, it doesn't.

More of an effect would be whether or not a candidate believes in anything at all.

If a candidate said he worshiped Satan, I would have to draw the line.

Does the religion of a candidate have an effect on your vote ?.

Politics is a belief in doing a certain agenda .
Religion is a faith and a belief .
So surely the religion affects the politics in one way or another .
Answer : YES .
