Hi Everyone,

When looking for someone to settle down with, do you think you can get
to know someone well enough to make a commitment like that online? Long
distance phone calls? Meeting every few months?

Just curious what you think?

Its all in trust and respecting I believe you can. Anything is possible
if you really want it bad enough.bigsmile

I've tried this a couple times. Turns out both totally misrepresented
themselves. I wouldn't try it again, even if I was actually looking for
someone.

I believe that in all friendship you have to have 100% honesty. And
feel what a better way then knowning ones heart and not the using lust
to make the same old mistake in life. I dont feel life has no limits. Oh
well at least enjoy the chance to get to know another person.

I think it's very hard to REALLY get to know someone without actually
being with someone regularly.

I find it easier to talk about things online - but I think the chemistry
and flow in person is what you build a foundation on.

I believe that True Love will make find a way... Two hearts must bond at
a level that is beyond the shallow junk most of the world is searching
for... You see beauty or good looks will fade, but the core
characteristics (sp?) of a person is what really makes that person who
they are in life...

So yes, I totally believe you can make it...

i don't believe that can happen online without meeting and i don't
believe that long distance relationships last.

I believe it can last as long as there is mutual trust, honesty and
respect for one another.

Long distance Love,,, I believe in Love the connecting
of two Hearts & Souls,,, Terry and I have a real relationship
yes it is long distance,,, Yet very real,,, We have met in
person and talk 7 days a weeks and God only knows how
many hours a day we talk,,, He is in all aspects of my
life as I am in his,,, We are just separated by Miles
at this time,,, I am getting ready to move to Indiana Trust
and Commumication is the Key,,, He picks me up when I am
down and I pick him up when he is down,,, Making it work
is a two sided commitment that we work on each and
everyday,,,,, Its not easy,, yes it gets lonely,,, The
phone is my life line to Terry right now,,, I could not
imagine my life without him,,.,,, Goshhhhhhhh Now i really
miss him,,,, Long distance relationships can work and do
it just takes true commited Souls to make it happen, trust in
each other and always communication, Communication,, Respect

Well I don't think it can if your not planning on being together some
day can't last and keep it long distance. We all need someone to be with
on a daily basis. Beside sometimes you can live with someone for years
and still never really know them. But one has to be willing to go with
the good and the bad untill you can be in the same place and have to be
willing to move. Just my thoughts myself my kids are grown if that
special one knocks me off me feet I would be willing to move if need
too.bigsmile

I’m with the thumbs up crowd.
Met a gal several years ago on the net, we chatted, emailed, talked then
dated for about a year. Like many relationships, we were going different
directions. That’s been about 5 years now and from opposite coasts, we
still maintain a good friendship.
Additional note – Any longer than what it takes to build a good sound
relationship, we’d have to be in the same town to be life partners.

I had a long distance relationship for seven years and we finally broke
up because I personally got tired of his NOT being there with me during
certain times.      He would call me but
it's just not the same if he was there with me. Holding me and kissing
me.......smooched smooched

sad sad sad sad sad
After I evaluated everything, I got out of the relationship because we
didn't get closer we were too far apart.

brokenheart brokenheart brokenheart I can't say I will never do it
again, but I can say I will limit my time input

Definately, in fact I have a few freinds who have gone that route. Some
lasting as long as 2 years - but at some point one either makes the move
for good or one makes the decision to move on. After all, we all want
to have many wonderful years of daily memories to share when we grow old
together.
