Topic: Was there anybody more qualified?

Is Palin the most qualified person that McCain could have picked?

I am embarrassed that he picked Palin. Can you imagine her as our President? It can happen. He is 72 years old and had cancer four times.

I believe if they become President and Vice-President, he has put our country in jeopardy in the event that he would die.

Other countries must be laughing at us, IMO.

they will not be laughing.

they will be in fear.

as they should.

the world loathes American leadership and resolve.

The world also follows America's lead.

leaders like Mc Cain and Palin are not accidents.

they are National Treasures.

Shame on you.

History is already writing the future.

It will include the greatness of this sovereign people despite itself, and the world watches agape of mouth as this nation vets it's warrior patriots and their rite of passage.

Obama has no right to this.

He is not mature enough to even see it.

Nor can his supporters.

But all shall see it.

It has already happened. LOL

Only the knowing understand this.

I am in fear of America's future if McCain becomes President.

Shame on me? Why? Because I am a thinker and not a sheeple?

The last paragraph about Obama not having a right to it is a joke, IMO.

Could the democrats have nominated a better presidential candidate? Someone more qualified and capable to lead the country?

Someone like Biden? or McCain? or even Hillary?

Dodd? Kucinich? Edwards? Richardson? Daschle? Wesley Clark?
Feingold? Gore?

So why didn't they? Why nominate someone who has almost no experience for your presidential candidate?

I don't know and neither does anyone else!

There is a basic belief that the voting public knows what is best. Hmmmm let's see....less than 50% of those eligible to vote turn out. Does one blame the political parties or the voting public? spock

Obama inspires (some) in a way we have not seen since Kennedy or Reagan.

My father thought Obama's acceptance speech was almost as good as Kennedy's. My Dad is an independent, btw.

I liked Obama's speech too.

i thought Obama's speech was anemic. and i like good speeches!

but he's not even a Bill Clinton or a Ron Reagan...
not even in the same millenium as Kennedy or MLK.

lacking content and personal experience.
just flowery hot air.

it didn't even pass as "feel good" - to be fair, i fell
asleep pretty early into it...but i watched the rerun!

yawn yawn asleep

i'm not sure. i think that it was partly the dnc.
hillary and bill had their detractors and those
within the party pushed obama as an alternative too
early.

perhaps some were even swayed by his oratory - tho
it's hard for me to see....or the historic opportunity
of having a viable african american candidate....

but he was not ready. and now it is just so obvious.
i would have liked Gore...or Feingold or even Lieberman...

but Hillary/Obama would have been the best viable ticket
imo

Well I liked Kucinich and Paul the best, so I may well be delusional.

Even though I supported Obama early, I agree. It could have set up the 16 years it's going to take to fix the last 8.

I'm an Idealist...would like debates where candidates talk about the issues. Not a mudslinging - media polished add campaign. Reminds me of the book The Selling of the President.

actually the first canidate to seek presidency....never even ran.....he was senate minority leader, majority leader......highly respected amongst his peers and long time friend of the clintons.
He is now barracks top advisor and fields all questions for him.
look for former senator Tom Daschle to be holding a top cabinet position.
Ummm...sweetie? Didn't SD vote him OUT of the Senate? Why was that...anyway? *Shuts mouth and is willing to listen.* But only cause I love you! laugh love love
yes we did!!! he was more in tune with washington then the people he was supposed to represent......
when he told us that we needed him to fix a problem.......the people figured 20 some years was long enough.
funny thing was........a republican and a dem working together fixed it within 6 months.....

I don't think you're asking too much...talking about the issues. That's the way it should be.
