I like his choice!

Why, because she is attractive? I can't think of any other reason.

Yes, she has a record of fighting political corruption and that is something that needs to be done in both parties.

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000.

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.

What do these have to do with qualification. She has every right to be pro-life.

I think that both creationism and evolution should be taught in school in a not biased fashion. They are two popular beliefs at it allows children to decide which they would like to believe.

History and science both point to people not being responsible for the climate change.

Is Palin the most qualified person that McCain could have picked?

I am embarrassed that he picked Palin. Can you imagine her as our President? It can happen. He is 72 years old and had cancer four times.

I believe if they become President and Vice-President, he has put our country in jeopardy in the event that he would die.

Other countries must be laughing at us, IMO.

I cannot imagine anyone in this world being discriminated against because he/she has had cancer. I wonder what all the WOMEN fighting against or have won the battle against cancer are thinking?????

WOW, I cannot believe anyone would post such a prejudicial statement!!!!!!

actually the first canidate to seek presidency....never even ran.....he was senate minority leader, majority leader......highly respected amongst his peers and long time friend of the clintons.
He is now barracks top advisor and fields all questions for him.
look for former senator Tom Daschle to be holding a top cabinet position.

Anyone who thinks Palin is more qualified than Obama is insane.

Who is Sarah Palin?
Here's some basic background:

She was elected Alaska's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000.

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.

She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.

How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.

So Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice religious conservative. She's a global warming denier who shares John McCain's commitment to Big Oil. And she's dramatically inexperienced.
In picking Sarah Palin, John McCain has made the religious right very happy. And he's made a very dangerous decision for our country.

FIRST OFF, the first sentence of this post is not allowed, you just called everyone (myself to begin with) INSANE because they support and think Governor Palin is more qualified than obama...you are not allowed to "name call" other posters...

Then, why is everyone posting Palin v. obama? Palin is opposing damocrats vp choice biden...why does no one want to comment on biden?

Everything that Governor Palin stands for is what I stand for.....and millions of other USA citizens.

I do believe we are allowed to have opinions without being bashed and called "insane" because of our viewpoints.

I commented on Biden see page 1 of this thread. Biden isn't as interesting to the media & masses, he's not perfect & at times has mouth works faster than his brain, but I would be extremely surprised if anyone can find a scandel. He's been working hard in the senate for 36 years & the work isn't as news worthy as the drama he has pretty much avoided. I think he should have been the Democratic presidental nominee.

Well, finally, someone giving a statement with some substanative information, (although I myself am not in favor of biden)and not bashing a 17 year old and a VP candidate because of the outside of marriage pregnancy.............

The majority (not everyone) of people who are making such a tadoo about this subject are the ones who are pro abortion....so why the sudden flip flop and attacking someone simply because her daughter has decided to give birth to her baby and NOT have an abortion?

Now, do not start with the moral agenda, I specifically remember a president who carried on an affair while PRESIDENT, and having ORAL SEX IN THE OVAL OFFICE.......so are the opponents of Republicans doing a "do as we say, NOT as we do" stand on certain issues?

To me the issue is what's best for Bristol? What kind of mother would place her daughter in the spotlight at this time?
We will never know who made the choices & if they might have been different, & frankly it's not our business, but I will never believe the choices were made without political pressure.

To me this isn't about abortion, it's about making desisions that are best for your family. Sarah's desiscion to accept the nomination was at great expense to her children. This is not good family values.

To me, it shows a woman who does not 'CAVE' under any type of situation, regardless.....

To me, that is the type of leader this county needs....
