Topic: Was there anybody more qualified?

I believe with all things considered Biden was a better choice.

Clintons had their time in the White House. And it got real strange for me towards the end. I couldn't figure out what she was doing.

Media and politicians work together a lot. And I know the Clintons had to have had a few friends inside with the media. I am not sure the angle on thier clear divide/endorse/divide/endorse behaviors displayed throughout.

And not coming out more clearly to the people. They have internet access like all other candidates. Dems are much more savvy when it comes to technology and the world wide web. And I felt she really kept people guessing a little to long.

And really I felt she didn't fit into the whole 'change' idea. It would of been a hypocritical move on Obama's behalf to put her as running mate.

On another note, she did NOT want to be VP. She made that very clear. She wanted to be President and if she couldn't acheive that she wanted to return back to what she was doing. She said that over and over. She said she would never consider VP.

Last thing I'd like to add is
this is today not yesterday-- more to really focus on now.

Is Palin the most qualified person that McCain could have picked?

I am embarrassed that he picked Palin. Can you imagine her as our President? It can happen. He is 72 years old and had cancer four times.

I believe if they become President and Vice-President, he has put our country in jeopardy in the event that he would die.

Other countries must be laughing at us, IMO.

She is a lot more qualified then Obama...He has absolutely no experience other then a "community Activist" and 143 days in the senate. No excutive experience running any business etc. Sarah Palin was a Mayor, and Governor and has dealt with energy policies, oil, and border issues as well.
She may not be the MOST qualified in the US but far surpasses any experience in World or US affairs than Obama and O biden put together.

First Palin did not jump into a race for President..
She was choosen for a running mate by McCain.

VP and President are two totally different positions in the White House.

Obama was nominated as the Dem presidential Candidate as was McCain for the repub. Candidate.

McCain is running against Obama you all are a little confused on who is running for president I think.

Biden has my respect. I can say this, Palin has lots of work to do before any debate with Biden.

I respectfully disagree here. Obama graduated top of his class at Harvard. Not too shabby, eh?
Community Activist = helping people. Awesome choice. Then there is his Senate experience.
Biden has many years of experience.

Palin - Mayor of itty bitty town. Governor for such a little time - less than 2 years. Came in second for Miss Alaska and cush job telling the weather. Yeah, right, those are qualifications for running the country.

With respects, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson come to mind. Know there were more.

As for experience. One of the challenges of leadership is to bring people of diversity together for a common goal. Barack Obama worked as a community organizer on the southside of Chicago. I have lived in that area and am aware of the diversity of cultures, economic status, and job prospects. He has lived and worked in the trenches of American Society. John McCain has not. Obama can relate to the common person. McCain cannot.

fyi..
Executive* not -excutive

You have got to be kidding me right... Do you know anything about Joe Biden?
Are you serious with this statement..
Lets talk about Joe Biden for a minute ok..

Biden is the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and has been for over 30 years are you kidding me.. He has authored bills/Laws .. he has passed so much legislation it would take you months to go through all his work that he has accomplished.

A constitutional scholar and adjunct professor of law at Widener Law School, Senator Biden is one of the Senate's leading voices on crime and drug policy. U.S. News & World Report described Senator Biden as "the Democrats' chief anti-crime specialist on Capitol Hill." He served as the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee for 16 years, including an extended term as Chairman from 1987-95. Today, Senator Biden is the Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Drugs, where he continues to lead the debate on criminal justice and public safety issues.

The Biden Crime Bill
Since coming to the Senate, Biden has written some of the most innovative and far-reaching criminal justice proposals in recent history, including the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, also known as the Biden Crime Bill. The 1994 law put more than 100,000 additional police officers on the streets

You are talking about something you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about.
Please do not type false information about someone who has done so much for the people of our country. He is a very respectable man, and does not talk down to people. He will debate facts/issues but he is a gentleman. His demeanor is strength and if you have something to say negative you should have backup/proof-not just foul tongue- he is action not lip service. You should be ashamed of yourself, truly you should.
The debates will speak for themselves.
Palin is nowhere close to him, you are poorly informed-

I will not add any more to your post with his information- I will give him a separate post.

You should really think before you type-more informed/knowledgeable people look at posts like these and are like *blank stare*

Unbelievable

*********

And it is statements like these that make me wonder why people will say things they know nothing about.

It amazes me.
Do they think if they say it no one will question it because why would someone say something so bold if it weren't true?

No, people say things because of agenda's.
And it is really not in good form to be speaking in a public forum and giving misinformation.
FACT is.

OBAMA is the one who is NOT qualified to be prez. I'm so glad you all agree that he doesn't qualify. Then again... it was the LIBS who elected sick willie who couldn't get a security clearance.

Palin - Mayor of itty bitty town.

There are alot of those itty bitty towns. Executive experience is just that - EXPERIENCE. Most of America is NOT Chicago & it's still more experience than OBAMA has.

By all of your definitions OBAMA is the one who should not be running. Thanks for your input...no matter how backward it is. laugh

Why are you so rude when someone has a different opinion from you? Does it bother you when someone is a thinker and not a sheeple?

good question.

two of my threads were pulled for review because haters flagged it and hijacked it. LOL

On Obama...

he votes "present" when sent to Congress to vote "yes" or "no".

we pay him for that?

he cashes his paycheck, but never earns it.

I will vote "present" for Obama, just like he does.

Where is the real contempt?

Disrespect for authority and accountability for action comes in the vote.

Why don't you research and find out what he is paid for, instead of complaining about what you think he isn't paid for.
You expect people to come to your front door and hand you his deeds?
It is easily accessible, the thing is no one has taken much time to look up his accomplishments and what he does do for the nation.

a poster writes yesterday,

Palin has more experience then Obama and Biden combined.
Not sure when that nightmare of a statement will process out of my head.
Now if that is the biggest fattest non truth there is.
If that person clicked a mouse to the Gov. site/
U.S. Senate website
they would see thousands of pages they could go through with Bidens name to Bills he has Authored. They would stop before they would get through the bills. To many to go through in one sitting. Obama as well to much info to get through in one sitting. People just don't want to take the time, it's that simple.
It's easier to look at the t.v. and McCains uniform...
good luck on that.

The United States is facing some very critical economic challenges and nearly every day, there is more bad news. The latest being the Fannie Mae Freddie Mac government takeover and unemployment jumping to 6%.

Fixing the economy is an extremely complex problem.

If you were to hire a team to fix it, who would you choose:

Team A
Harvard Law School Graduate
History, Political Science & Law School Graduate

Team B
Military school bottom of class
University of Idaho journalism major
