Topic: Fruit Flies

I just finished scrubbing my apartment from top to bottom, everything is spotless and I still have fruit flies for some reason. I do not understand where they are coming from. They can not be here for Thursday, they just can't. Does anybody have a way to get rid of them? And fast?

Had a similar problem as the OP last summer, this helped! http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Fruit-Flies Try to see if you can see clusters of dead flies, the source of the problem is usually close by...

check for any random bags for fruit parts and\or seeds\pits? Check your house plants too, I had some in a plant that I had over watered, it was starting to rot at the soil surface & I wasn't aware of it until I saw the flies.

Thank you, but I kill all plants so I do not have any. It is not a lot here just a couple but still do not want them hanging around.

Put out a glass with a little white wine in it. Fruit flies go for the wine & die happy. REALLY works.

Dump some maple syrup on your table and watch them land and get stuck eh...then smoke them

ALL garbage is gone, all rotton food is gone, fridge has been scrubbed so has my kitchen sink and counters.

It's been a bad year for gnats and fruit flies all over the place I guess. Even at my friend's lakehouse, which hadn't been used in 6 weeks, no food or spills left in the house..... they were there!!!

oh I just hate those good luck getting rid of them Thank you. I am starting to think they are just a few left overs from the way the kitchen was before.
