OK I have a friend that is totally cooking-impaired. Can and will only
use a microwave. What I need from you is some suggestions and help on
what my friend can cook in the microwave.

Hamsters!

I kid, I kid. There is a great book on micro dishes: Barbara Kafka's
classic cookbook Microwave Gourmet

So can he handle a can opener? If yes, then are numerous canned goods
out there that are open and heat.

Then there is a stroll down the freezer aisle in the grocery store, just
open the box, after reading the instructions of course, and pop in and
set the timer and waaaallaaa.

whisper, I agree with Romee....maybe have someone teach him/her to cook,
and no days there are quite a few 'meals for one' that you can get in
stores that are microwavable

Good luck

Yeah Whisper, get Emeril over and they can BAM all over the place.

Yeah, can openers are important, I like the electric one, easier on the
wrist after years and years of typing. But then I guess I am spoiled.

Baked potatoes, there you go, and heat some canned chili, top with
shredded cheese and chopped onion, - full of vitamins and healthy for
you too.

Hey, Whisper, there are tons of Micro cook books out there, even some
classes. I use my micro for just about everything, but red meat, and I
am in no way malnourished. HAHA Just tell her she should have something
GREEN in her menu.
