Look, when I was a bigger guy, I didn't get alot of dates. Not that girls didn't like me, just cause I didn't like the outside of me. Inside, I was cool with me. I have always been active, but I used to eat alot. Yeah, I got made fun of and all, but when I lost the weight and women started to notice me, it still took me awhile to see it...to realize it. I still see myself as that big guy I once was...and I like that fact cause it keeps me grounded.

Voluptious, you have a kick ass sense of humor, which is what attracts men to you. Alot of bigger women have this, and it is so sexy to see in any woman. Guess that is why I tend to date women with this body style.

See, I made this cause of a thread last night where a poster basically was stating how he didn't like to date women with this body type. And, that thread (which eventually got locked) went into so many directions that I felt I would start a thread about how women who are not skinny...are hot and sexy. My opinion of course, but anyways.....yeah....peanut butter jelly time rules.laugh laugh laugh

Thanks Goof and all you other guys that appreciate us REAL women.

You know Dove started their campaign for a very valid reason! In our media driven society where the pictures/videos we see are NOT necessarily representative of the actual reality of the models they were derivative of, it's extremely important that our children understand this fact. Everyone should love themselves for who they are....no matter what state your body is in at the moment, love all of you.

no it doesn't sound screwed up. it sounds like what alot of other women experience even me. i'm comfortable in my depression. i'm comfortable in my fat. it keeps me from experiencing hardcore happiness which can only bring hardcore heartache. thats the logic. and thats the flaw.

my mummy always told me that if i'm willin to accept it.. and do nothin about it then shut up about it and don't complain.

she's a chubscout too and very very right.

one day you'll have to make the decision. get off your @ss and lose the weight (start walkin!!) or die and leave your family the sadness of having to buy a bigger coffin like they did to my mom's aunt pauline.

thats life.

Chubscout...!?rofl

No...I am about 60 pounds over weight.
I don't think I am in any real danger of "Dying" due to my weight. I am a very healthy woman and have been able to maintain my current size (with or without exercise)
My doctor says I am very healthy- with the exception of my weight.slaphead

I used to be really thin and honestly I didn't get that much attention from men then I gained weight and I have guys coming at me left and right... I like myself better this way.

oh honey PCOS doesn't stop me from getting dates.. lol just puts up a fight with my weight. that's all. plus the other stuff it causes but its livable. ya know? just another thing in my life i can't let rule me.

I didn't mean it like that. I meant that 3 kids, PCOS and endometriosis didn't do well on my body, but because of my personality, men find me attractive regardless my weight.

Personally, I think I need to lose weight. I hate my size. But I am getting more call backs and dates than I did when I was 18 and 120lbs.

It's about the personality.

Georgiagirl and Voluptous, I'm so sorry for your losses. I've been there too. flowerforyou flowerforyou

I was heavy before I lost my husband though. My thyroid went, I used to be a skinny minnie so now I've been on both ends of the scale. Guess I'll be staying on this end though since no matter what I've done I can never seem to lose more than 20lbs.

This size has also become "safe" for me. The less appealing I am to others, the less change and heart ache for my life.
Sounds screwed up- I know.

I did that, too, for almost 15 years. I missed so much & I did it to myself. Circle goes round and round, doesn't it? If it hadn't been for the fact I was DYING, I would still be there. Now I worry I've gone too far the other way. I still have to make myself look in mirrors & I'm supposed to be average now--but I look the same to me. Coming here is like my first step at getting back into the world, and it's hard. If it's screwed up, at least you have a lot of company.

Magazines and TV are doing an awful disgrace to the "common" woman. Those women don't wake up looking like they do. They have ARTIST who make them look like they do, they are afforded all kinds of things that we "average" women can't even afford on our birthday. AOL did a spill on some of the stars w/o their makeup, they were no prettier then the average woman who walked around in walmart...some looked worse!

Actually, surveys say 75-80% of men love a curvy, even voluptuous woman over a thin one.

Aren't we glad ladies?
